Re: 2-bhaskar: re. #1 Vedic & Jyotish Remedy: Meditation Posted by: " Bhaskar " bhaskar_jyotish bhaskar_jyotish Fri Mar 16, 2007 12:46 pm (PST) Dear Mark, I agree. Just like Ravi (The Sun) can reach where a Kavi (Poet) cannot. same way a Yogi(Meditator) can reach where a Bhogi (Materialstic) cannot. In India which is the original Land of meditators, has now mostly beggars left, sorry to say. (This may creat a Uproar now).In Most of the astrology Forums one would find 99.9% only indians looking for free advice.I just saw last night a Indian asking vociferously in a foreign Astrology site for advises from another astrologer of that same Forum from where he had already received advise, though he was rebuked by the moderator of that Forum quite politely yet this chap did not relent. And this guy has already complete his latest round of free advises received from almost all the Forums on vedic astrology including this one.Such Indians make me hang my head in shame. Dear Bhaskar: I know what you mean. I've encountered that a lot too. Part of it is due to this terrible habit of weakness due to India loosing the fine art and science of easy and natural meditation. But, everyone in life needs to learn that there is nothing, for nothing! Hopefully, they'll get enough out of their Astrology that eventually they'll learn that life depends on self-effort! Sure, we were born with certain and important tendencies but it's our will to do and to accomplish and to change that's the key! Unfortunately, this principle of fate has a very negative effect on people's will and drive. But, that's changing. So, many people all over the World and even in India doing better, making money and progressing. Eventually it'll change. My Guru used to say: " we envy that which we want to become. " In other words a certain quality of envy can be good! So, we just keep setting an example. For example, this topic we're having about Meditation. I announce the point that it's the #1 Jyotish remedy and only a few people can relate! So, habituated are people to NOT look to the inside..... But, eventually all will understand. Meditation- I fully agree that the people from here have not taken much advantage though the people living outside India have taken much better advantage. I know what you mean. But, difficulties are great for lots of people in poverty or without much hope with work and progress. But, growing up 'this time' hehe, in the West I've learned many, many things. I've been told I've lived a numbr of times in India, and probably that's why I loved it so when I was there in 88. But, I came in this time to learn about 200% of life. 100% of the inner quality, as you say, India's got, but now it needs to learn about 100% of the outer...mastery! In india the trend is that first the matter/object/ thing/learning/Man/Women etc, should go first to foreign, be recognised there and when it comes back, then only it would be given better recognition here. This I am talking in general. I know what you mean. I have friends of mine who are Westerners who went to India to teach Transcendental Meditation there, which they said was quite ironic. The Guru of the TM movement, the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi... has said over and over again, that this habit of believing in fate is very damaging to life. And I see it all the time in people's attitudes and sentiments. People are always asking me " when will things improve " as if they only have to wait! I tell them, it's up to you, you have to do it! You can't wait for life to arrive! A person who meditates properly and regularly and also lives a life regulated morally and scripturally, Astrology and mantras would take back seat, thats for sure. because the direct Communion would give all the instructions and knowledge needed. Well, this is why I'm so encouraged by all the scientific research that's now being done on meditation. Recently the US government just paid 2 million dollars for more research on TM and hyper-tension in the black community. So, times are a changeing. About TM, I am no authority to comment good or bad, if taught by a good Teacher. What kind of meditation do you practice? best wishes, Bhaskar.
