Dear RR,

 

YES, from Oct 98 PL 4.5 to ver 6.0 legal copies only.

 

I have serious issues with them and had suggested they do this to make sure that

I am not alone and I know over 7 users, made many buy this product sadly tall

claims no use

 

the printout item 701 or Dasha interpratation is flawed since Ver 3.2 same till

now

 

 

I asked for a self generated bug/error report since Oct 98 WHEN I PAINFULLY DO

ENTER EACH ERROR.

 

all the upgrades do is make more money and do some cosmetics, very few addition

take place.

 

useless dasha,bukti print puts r there wasting paper when the dasha 3 level and

user defend levels make sense.which are the current dasa....

 

so many dasa systems r there but o interpretations for them or ref books for

users

 

IT wont matter though I may not shift from parasara model anyway.

 

 

u will c more of PL bugs when i get there, i can post the entire mails exchange

there the upper case comes when i changed the lower on rr at the top in upper

The link is good, but the http got posted in uppercase, that is why

the link was not working.

 

If you copy and paste just the url " ... " etc, it

should work.

 

I am also sorry to hear that you were so disappointed with PL. Please

note that I am neither the programmer nor the promoter for that or

any other software, commercial or free :-)

 

The purpose of the user group was exactly for that: finding out what

works, what does not, what people wish it had -- feature-wise etc.

Not that just by posting there, someone at geovision would

necessarily note or consider.

 

And please do not post the email exchange, since no one will read it

probably. But please post, if you can, succintly the issues and

resolutions if any arrived.

 

Jyotish software market is fairly restricted I am certain and so I do

not blame if the support is not of the same calibre as bigger

software companies who have started charging for support in many

cases :-)

Dear RR

 

i wasn't saying u r an agent or blaming u either, with the same motive of why u

posted it I had put them here so that other users can read it and also join the

bandwagon faster, unless we push them they wont respond or care, they do sell

with a lot of promise and deliver too little.

 

it is sad that Goravani a good s/w is winding up also in line with visual

jyotish and one more visual one closed earlier is there in many temples in USA

forgot the name.. now with program s like Jhora and Maitreyas dream sure they

will have little choice but also die soon unless they offer more.

 

Jhora too ha some errors on some planetary positions in th emin and sec part.

 

I sue as sai dmy own s/w with 34 decimal position correction and also other s/ws

and randomly check their figures and never depend on one all the time, do

manually cast and check any chart on and off to make sure the s/w is having no

bugs

 

for instance some processors, or chip set ones may give a problem at Tan 168 Deg

which is Hasta Nakshatra and all planets at that point in any varga can go wrong

vargas....
