Guest guest
Dear Respected Members, Namaste. I love reading this poem written by Mother Teresa and I thought I would share it with you.. Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is bliss, taste it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it. -Mother Teresa Warmest regards Sheevani
Guest guest
Dear Sheevaniji, I did not understand the last line of this poem . // Life is life, fight for it. // We too have many good Hindi songs in our Hindi Movies to denote such matters. One came to my mindjust when I was reading your message. " Jindagi pyaar ka geet hai, ise har dil ko gaana padega... " " Jindagi gam ka saagar bhi hai, hans ke us paar jaana padega " something like this. I remember all the lines of this song were marvellous in their meanings. I would prefer this to the one by Mother Theresa. I know for certain that her league was mostly busy in giving treatment only to the Christian downtrodden and suffering , and did not care for the people from other castes and religions. But I cannot show proof now, for the people associated with disclosing such truths are no more in this world for me to associate with. But yes I respect her still, at least she was serving people , they may have been from her own tribe does not matter, but serving she was, without doubt. I would rather not talk detrimental about people who are no more. She was a " Mother " no doubt about this. regards/Bhaskar. , " sheevani147 " <sheevani147 wrote: > > Dear Respected Members, > > Namaste. > -Mother Teresa > > Warmest regards > Sheevani >
Guest guest
Dear Bhaskarji, Namaste.. // Life is life, fight for it. // To my mind, it is just,, every life is precious, regardless of goodtimes or bad times, age, colour creed etc. Yes I do love that song you mentioned,, I do sing it when I feel like singing,, or I sing, jeevan chalne ka naam, chalte raho subh-o-shaam, ke rasta kat jaye ga mitra... When I feel down in dumps,, I sing a different tune,, Ai mere dilen nadaan, tu gam se na gabrana, ik din toh samajle gi, duniya tera afsana... I think it is an admirable quality for any human being to selflessly serve others, whoever the beneficiaries maybe.. warmest regards Sheevani , " Bhaskar " <bhaskar_jyotish wrote: > > > Dear Sheevaniji, > > I did not understand the last line of this poem . > > // Life is life, fight for it. // > > We too have many good Hindi songs in our Hindi Movies to denote such > matters. Guest guest
Dear Renu ji,This is the first couplet of a lovely song sung by Kishore Kumar. The words have a deep meaning and the song is mostly spiritual in essence. It is a pleasure to translate these lines for you. //Zindagi pyar ka geet hai , ise har dil ko gana padega//Life is a song of love, every heart has to sing it.//Zindagi gam saagar bhi hai, haske us paar jana padega.// Life is also a sea of anguish, it has to be crossed merrily.or(Life is a journey of sufferings, but has to be made happily) Hope this helps.Neelam2009/3/7 renunw <renunw Dear Bhaskar ji, Would you mind giving the translation of the following...please. // " Jindagi pyaar ka geet hai, ise har dil ko gaana padega... Guest guest
Dear Renu ji,I know you as a very spiritual person and I always appreciate your broadminded approach to life. In these times, when the neighbours are not so neighbourly, we absolutely cherish your company as most precious. (for those who do not know, Renu ji is a Sri Lankan national) Poetry is one of the best forms of expression the only requirement being a mind who can appreciate and can work at the same level.Otherwise what is said in a few words cannot even be explained in reams of sheets. Guest guest
Dear Neelam ji, Thanks for the nice words, madam...I think broadmindedness is an essential ingredient in spirituality...though I am not sure where I stand. Agreed...poetry speaks volumes in a line or two...and most touchingly too. blessings, Renu , neelam gupta <neelamgupta07 wrote: > > Dear Renu ji, > > I know you as a very spiritual person and I always appreciate your > broadminded approach to life. > In these times, when the neighbours are not so neighbourly, we absolutely > cherish your company as most precious.
