Respected Bhaskar ji,

In synch with the prevalent mindset of our present-day society, we

tend to think of life in terms of sensual gratification and spend a

good deal of our time going about acquiring the objects we believe

will give us that gratification. When we fail to get lasting

satisfaction from those material objects and the sensual pleasures

they give us, we automatically believe it's because we didn't get

enough of them, or that we need to try something new.

THAT'S THE ILLUSION. The reality is something quite different. And

that’s where you score, because YOU’VE UNDERSTOOD WHAT IS REAL,

WITHOUT PRETENSIONS.

Reality is that we need to go the other way; to give instead of take;

to think about the well-being of others as much as of our own. It does

not mean that we deprive ourselves (or allow ourselves to be deprived)

of our basic necessities. But for our mental and spiritual wellbeing

we need to move away from the tendency of getting more for ourselves,

and move towards giving more to others. That's why service becomes a

big part of spirituality. The more we realize the Supreme Truth †" the

more our sense of existence and awareness coincides with the feeling

of Cosmic Oneness; of connectedness with all †" the more we feel our

own fate is intertwined and interdependent with the fate of all people

in the world; of all creatures in the universe; and the more inspired

we get to serve others as expressions of the whole †" of the infinite

Cosmic Consciousness.

I was surfing the net to update myself on some subjects of my interest

when I came across your wonderful group on astrological readings for

people in need. While going through your group archives, it was

heartening to note how thousands have benefited with your sound advice

over a period of time. This silent service of yours to humanity with

compassion indeed takes you closer to the Supreme One.

I just wanted to congratulate you and offer my best wishes for the

great service you are doing for your fellow beings.

Blessings.

Dear Tripura ,

Thanks for your mail and good wishes.

Sensual gratifications have their own place in Life, momentary pleasures are great here, but not everlasting, and a point comes in Life, when one gradually withdraws slowly from these, though not out completely, but not into too, because the realisation has dawned that the more you indulge, the more you loose and less to gain. Raja Yayati was a perfect example but they dont teach about such great men in our country neither in schools nor colleges. So was Prince Yashodhana ( Buddha ) and so was Tulsidasji. All have seen the sensual side and then withdrawn consiouscly without being forced to.

Service to man kind is a different ball game altogether. Here the pleasures are not momentary but ever lasting. A grateful word, smile or blessings received from one you help, cannot match any other pleasure, peace or contentment, neither can many other virtues match the sustaining powers of such contentment. A man feels near-complete , a sense of achievement- of having achieved, by helping a soul in need.

The biggest secret here which one does not know unless he indulges in this, is , that nature gives multifold when You give. One does not loose anything but gains in this bargain. This is like practising on a Carom Board hitting coins with a striker. The more you do this, the more perfect you become in your aim, and score more.

I wished to write further, but some other day......

regards,

Bhaskar.

Thanks for replying.

Yes, when the man of vision sees that the powers of nature are the

only actors of the vast drama, and he beholds THAT which is beyond the

powers of nature he becomes the TRUE YOGI.

Blessings.
