Guest guest
All old customs and traditions had some scientific base in the Hindu system. Because we are not aware or have forgotten must not mean that they are passe. On Sundays one should not do Tel-Maalish . Why ? Because already due to Sunday there is enough of agnitattwa in the body. We are making the Pitta more strong if we do this on Sundays. Adrakh must not be kept in the fridge . Why ? Because adrakh itself is full of agnitattwa. keeping in cold region spoils the agni tattwa of same. While going to toilet one must not open his mouth. Why ? Because there are different vayus in the human body which function at seperate levels. Here the apana vayu helps in pusshing the mutra-malla down so that it is excreted smoothly. When one speaks while urinating or.... that time instead of the apana vayu pressurising down, it comes out from the mouth, which is not desirable. Different food dishes in different seasons in the Hindu system. Why ? They have different food stuffs in the North in Hindu religion to be eaten every season. Like Imlaani with Khichdi which helps in the summer season to cool down the body due to ecsessive heat in the body due to temperature outside. In the cold seasons they have Rotis soaked in Ghee - Daal baati- which brings in heat in the body due to excessive cold outside. These Hindu customs, rituals, norms all have got some logical base. Same with menstruation, but i dont want to get into that explanation now, as it it would not make sense to many ladies here. I personally respect the Hindu customs, and traditions, even though i may not be knowingthe logic or scientific explanation behind the same, but I know this much for sure, that the generations before me have done it, so I would do it. best wishes, Bhaskar. Guest guest
Respected Bhaskarji, I agree with your observation that there is a scientific basis in all the rituals and customs in Hindu religion. Our Rishis and Munis had enormous foresight and through their studies they had formulated certain norms, which in today's scientific bent of mind, where evrything is questioned and logic sought, we have rejected most of them. As for keeping your mouth closed during passing of urine/stool, Mudra Vigyan says that it is not enough to keep your mouth closed. You have to keep your teeth pressed and a slight pressure should be there on the gums. This prevents gum trouble. Without disputing your argument, this is just an addition. As for the " doha " from Ramcharitmanas, the version published by Gita Press, Gorakhpur says that this doha should be recited before entering a new town/office where you go for work, just as Sri Hanumanji had done before entering Lanka. Guest guest
Dear Naresh ji, Thank you for affirmation of what has been written. You are absolutely right that " You have to> keep your teeth pressed and a slight pressure should be there on the > gums. This prevents gum trouble. Without disputing your argument, this > is just an addition. " Absolutely right. Exactly what I meant but did not put it in the words you have put, for fear of people not understandning. About this " doha " again you are right, we normally recite this when getting in the car and embaking for any trips to some local towns or pilgrimages nearby. I use it in day to day Life too when ever I step out of the house. If I forget than as soon as my foot lands of the pavement or the road, Lord Hanumanji makes me remember this. I appreciate your taking out sometown for this interaction. I was very sad that this Forum is reduced to only for replying to members for their queries. Your mail has heartened my spiris, that yes members are aware and reading other posts too . best wishes, Bhaskar. , "supriyaamp" <nareshmintri wrote:>> Respected Bhaskarji,> > I agree with your observation that there is a scientific basis in all> the rituals and customs in Hindu religion.
