Guest guest
Should a Planet be considered as Exalted ordebilitated by just virtue of being in a particularsign, or not ? We will take some examples -Jupiter is Exalted in Cancer at 5 degrees. Here the Nakshatra which appears is Pushya, ruled by Saturn.Example 1 Suppose Jupiter is at 5 Degrees inCancer , for a Capricorn native. ThisJupiter would give the native a goodphysical strength, happiness throughmarriage, wealth, wealth also bymarriage , and happiness of family.Example 2 Suppose this same Jupiter was in 18 degreesCancer for the same native. Then what wouldhave been the results ?The native would have been prone to ill health. No connection of this Jupiter towealth or family happiness. No connectionto happiness through marriage, insteadwould have been worse for marriage andcreated strifes in the married Life.In both above cases The Jupiter is exaltedfor the same native in the same Lagna and signand house, but results diametrically differentwhen degrees are different. So the Degree does matters. All this isnot written clearly in the Books availablewith us, because this knowledge is not meant tofall in wrong hands. Its when we havethe fortune to meet a good Guru and learnfrom him, that we realise that whatappears on surface, may notbe what is intended to be known by all.best wishes,Bhaskar. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji Hari Om, Great job; I really appreciate that you find so much time out of your personal and family engagements to write so much for the young astrologers to learn. It is now time that GROUP should be separated into: Discussion Group for the astrologers to discuss and learn from each other, the various aspects of astrology; PREDICTIVE Astrology: for the people curious to know some thing about their futures; and REMEDIAL astrology if you wish to suggest remedies/solutions to the people with problems of various kinds. This would eliminate wastage of cyber space and would give a better and organized discourses/thoughts. Thanks to you and your associates helping many people in many ways. Hari OmDavendra K. Guest guest
Dear Shri Davendraji, Hari Om. Your advice is one of the best, I have received these days, and i fully endorse the same. Uptil yesterday I was thinking on the same lines, but is coming soon with some innovations, where certain requisites would have to be met, before one joins any Group , which would of course be a Optional +tool, but am going to implement it soon. Due to the innovations it would not be necessary to manage 3 Groups or factions, as suggested by You, and only one Group would suffice for all, as only serious members would join, so the need to bifercate would be bypassed. I cannot talk about this new feature, as its not public yet, but would be known within 2-3 months and open to all the Groups. best wishes, Bhaskar. , Davendra Gupta <davendrak wrote:>> Dear Bhaskar ji> Hari Om,> Great job; I really appreciate that you find so much time out of your personal and family engagements to write so much for the young astrologers to learn. It is now time that GROUP should be separated into:> Discussion Group for the astrologers to discuss and learn from each other, the various aspects of astrology;> PREDICTIVE Astrology: for the people curious to know some thing about their futures;> and> REMEDIAL astrology if you wish to suggest remedies/solutions to the people with problems of various kinds.> This would eliminate wastage of cyber space and would give a better and organized discourses/thoughts.> Thanks to you and your associates helping many people in many ways.> Hari Om> > Davendra K. Guest guest
Dear Shri Gopuji, Sorry for the delay in the reply. Was occupied elsewhere. Gopuji as far as I know, the texts have given us only the exaltation and debilitation degrees ,without any reference to the orbs to be considered for extreme exaltation, or the variation or range of degrees, for this consideration. I would personally accept 2 degrees on either side in most cases of faster moving planets. probably 1 degree in case of slower. best wishes, Bhaskar. , K Gopu <kgopu_24 wrote:>> dear Bhaskar,> I request u to clarify whether planets are exalted only the deg mentioned below. Are there any specific degrees variation like sun is exalted between 0deg to 2 deg Aries.> I am reproducing the degrees of exaltation of planets. Guest guest
Dear Jaswalji, Namaste. Your reply is really a eye opener. Thank You. While checking your reply on the authenticty, I checked the relevant shlokas and found this - BPHS - Shloka 49-54 Moon - First 3 degrees of Taurus are considere as Exalted. Mercury - First 15 degrees of Virgo are considered as Exalted. For the rest of the Planets - No mention Jataka Parijata Shloka 29 does not give any such range of Exaltation at ll, except the highest point of Exaltation degrees. Saravali Shloka 35-36 again does not give such range. they only give the Deep Exaltation degrees. Am I making a mistake in reading the shlokas and translation, or do I have incomplete information of the shlokas ? The rest of the texts I have not checked. need time to do that. Please get back to me after your re-checking on above. kind regards, Bhaskar. , "Ram Jaswal" <rkjaswal wrote:>> Namaste Bhaskar ji> > Certainly ...> > BPHS - Chap 3 Sloka's 49 - 54 incl ..> Jataka Parijata - Adhyaya 1 Sloka 29> Sarvartha Chintamani - Chap 1 Sloka 30> Saravali - Chap 1 Sloka's 35 - 36 incl ..> Phaladeepika - Chap 1 Sloka's 6 - 7 incl ..> > Hope this helps?> > Jai Sita Ram> > Ram> > > _____ > > > On Behalf Of Bhaskar> 20 July 2008 12:33> > Re: ANY PLANET IN EXALTED SIGN IS GOOD ALWAYS ?> > Dear Shri Jaswalji> Jai Sita Ram.> That is a good revelation, and if you could point out which text gives> these details, it would help us all, to review our knowledge. > regards,> Bhaskar.> www.shrikrishnajyot <http://www.shrikrishnajyotish.com> ish.com> > > > , "Ram Jaswal" rkjaswal@ wrote:> >> > Namaste Bhaskar and Gopu> > > > For what it is worth my understanding per "standard" texts are:> > > > Sun exalted in All of Aries - greatest at 10deg Aries> > Moon exalted between 0 - 3deg of Taurus - greatest at 3deg Taurus. Guest guest
Namaste Bhaskar ji Please refer to your Book entries in Files section of Jyotish_Ganga for the references – Saravali should read Chap 3 Sloka 35 – 36 …. Re: Jataka Parijata – I am referring to V Subramanya Sastri’s translation in English …… and Sarvartha Chintamani - am referring to B Suryanarain Rao’s translation in English …. Hope this helps? Best wishes ……. Jai Sita Ram Ram On Behalf Of Bhaskar 20 July 2008 14:50 Re: ANY PLANET IN EXALTED SIGN IS GOOD ALWAYS ? Please get back to me after your re-checking on above. kind regards, Bhaskar. , " Ram Jaswal " <rkjaswal wrote: > > Namaste Bhaskar ji > > Certainly ... > > BPHS - Chap 3 Sloka's 49 - 54 incl .. > Jataka Parijata - Adhyaya 1 Sloka 29 > Sarvartha Chintamani - Chap 1 Sloka 30 > Saravali - Chap 1 Sloka's 35 - 36 incl .. > Phaladeepika - Chap 1 Sloka's 6 - 7 incl .. > > Hope this helps? > > Jai Sita Ram > > Ram > > > _____ > > > On Behalf Of Bhaskar > 20 July 2008 12:33 > > Re: ANY PLANET IN EXALTED SIGN IS GOOD ALWAYS ? > > Dear Shri Jaswalji > Jai Sita Ram. > That is a good revelation, and if you could point out which text gives > these details, it would help us all, to review our knowledge. > regards, > Bhaskar. > www.shrikrishnajyot <http://www.shrikrishnajyotish.com> ish.com > > > > , " Ram Jaswal " rkjaswal@ wrote: > > > > Namaste Bhaskar and Gopu > > > > For what it is worth my understanding per " standard " texts are: > > > > Sun exalted in All of Aries - greatest at 10deg Aries > > Moon exalted between 0 - 3deg of Taurus - greatest at 3deg Taurus. Guest guest
Namaste Jaswalji, I have re-checked Saravali even in the Files section, and before that i had checked the shloka itself, but no mention of any ranges. Phaldeepika also I have been able to check. The cited shloka does not mention the range, except the highest point of exaltation and debilitation. i am not able to find the other books since I have got about 800 books, and all scattered and kept at seperate places, in absence of a proper rack in a single room due to paucity of space. regards, Bhaskar. , "Ram Jaswal" <rkjaswal wrote:>> Namaste Bhaskar ji> > Please refer to your Book entries in Files section of Jyotish_Ganga for the> references - Saravali should read Chap 3 Sloka 35 - 36 ..> > Re: Jataka Parijata - I am referring to V Subramanya Sastri's translation in> English .. and> Sarvartha Chintamani - am referring to B Suryanarain Rao's translation in> English ..> > Hope this helps?> > Best wishes ...> > Jai Sita Ram> > Ram> > _____ > > > On Behalf Of Bhaskar> 20 July 2008 14:50> > Re: ANY PLANET IN EXALTED SIGN IS GOOD ALWAYS ?> > Dear Jaswalji,> Namaste.> > Your reply is really a eye opener. Guest guest
Dear Pankaj ji, Exaltation or own house placement is not the criteria for wearing a Gem. If the Exalted planet is the Lord of a evil House, then would only give malefic results. There is multiple criteria for wearing gems, and one of them is to fulfill any particular desires at any point of time in Life, wealth, job, marriage, good health, and after the fulfillment the gem is removed , or allowed to be depending on the planet whih is represented by the Gem. regards, Bhaskar. www.shrikrishnajyotish.com , Pankaj Rathod <prathod wrote:>> Namaskar> Can a person wear gemstones of planets which are exalted or planets which are in thier own signs.> > Regards> Pankaj> > --- On Mon, 7/21/08, Bhaskar bhaskar_jyotish wrote:> > Bhaskar bhaskar_jyotish Re: ANY PLANET IN EXALTED SIGN IS GOOD ALWAYS ?> > Monday, July 21, 2008, 9:45 AM> > > > > > > > Namaste Jaswalji,> I have re-checked Saravali even in the Files section, and before that i had checked the shloka itself, but no mention of any ranges.> Phaldeepika also I have been able to check. Guest guest
Namaste Bhaskar ji I can’t personally read Sanskrit so can’t say whether the English translations are correct? Anyhow in the Files section: Brhatparasarahorasastra.pdf – Chap 3 49-50. Exaltation and Debilitation. For the seven Grahas, from Sürya on, the exaltation Räçis are, respectively, Mesh, Vrishabh, Makar, Kanya, Kark, Meen and Tula. The deepest exaltation degrees are, respectively, 10, 3, 28, 15, 5, 27 and 20 in those Räçis. And in the seventh Räçi from the said exaltation Räçi each Grah has its own debilitation. The same degrees of deep exaltation apply to deep fall. 51-54. Additional Dignities. In Simh the first 20 degrees are Süryas Mooltrikon, while the rest is his own Bhava. After the first 3 degrees of exaltation portion in Vrishabh, for Candr, the rest is her Mooltrikon. Maìgal has the first 12 degrees in Mesh, as Mooltrikon with the rest therein becoming simply his own Bhava. For Budh, in Kanya the first 15 degrees are exaltation zone, 5 the next 5 degrees Mooltrikon and the last 10 degrees are own Bhava. The first one third of Dhanu is the Mooltrikon of Guru, while the remaining part thereof is his own Bhava. Çukr divides Tula into two halves keeping the first, as Mooltrikon and the second, as own Bhava. Çanis arrangements are same in Kumbh, as Sürya has in Simha. Kalyana Varmas Saravali.pdf – Chap 3 34. Mlatrikonas of Planets. Leo, Taurus, Aries, Virgo, Sagittarius, Libra and Aquarius are the respective Mlatrikonas for the planets from the Sun onwards. 35-36. Exaltation and Fall. Aries, Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, Pisces and Libra, respectively, are the Signs of exaltation for the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn. These are deeply exalted at 10, 3, 28, 15, 5, 27 and 20 Degrees in the respective Rasis. The Rasis opposite exaltation are the places of debilitation for the planets concerned. And the respective degrees are of deep fall. Phaldeepika by Mantreswara.pdf – Chap 1 6. The lords of the twelve signs are as under: Aries – Mars Libra - Venus Taurus – Venus Scorpio - Mars Gemini - Mercury Sagittarius - Jupiter Cancer - The Moon Capricorn - Saturn Leo - The Sun Aquarius - Saturn Virgo - Mercury Pisces - Jupiter The signs of exaltation and fall of the seven planets from the Sun onwards are as under — Planet Sign of exaltation Sign of fall The Sun Aries Libra The Moon Taurus Scorpio Mars Capricorn Cancer Mercury Virgo Pisces Jupiter Cancer Capricorn Venus Pisces Virgo Saturn Libra Aries This means that the seventh or the opposite sign from the sign of exaltation of a planet, is the sign of fall or debilitation. Notes— There is great difference of opinion amongst the ancient learneds about the exaltation and debilitation signs of Rahu and Ketu. Mantreswara has expressed no opinion in that regard. According to Sarvarth Chintamani the exaltation sign of Rahu is Gemini and his sign of debilitation is Sagittarius. Reverse is the case with Ketu. According to Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra Taurus and Scorpio are respectively the exaltation signs of Rahu and Ketu and the signs opposite to them are their signs of debilitation. The highest points of exaltation and the lowest points of debilitation of the various planets are as under: Planet Highest points of exaltation (Deep exaltation) Lowest point of debilitation (Deep fall) The Sun Aries 10th degree Libra 10th degree The Moon Taurus 3rd degree Scorpio 3rd degree Mars Capricorn 28th degree Cancer 28th degree Mercury Virgo 15th degree Pisces 15th degree Jupiter Cancer 5th degree Capricorn 5th degree Venus Pisces 27th degree Virgo 27th degree Saturn Libra 20th degree Aries 20th degree Notes — For example Jupiter at the 5th degree of Cancer will be in deep exaltation. Then he moves downwards from that point and gets into deep debilition when he reaches 5th degree of Capricorn. 7. The Moolatrikona signs of the planets the Sun onward are Leo, Taurus, Aries, Virgo, Sagittarius, Libra and Aquarius respectively. Below are given the portions of the own sign and Moolatrikona from the Sun onwards :— Planet Sign Moola trikona portion Own sign portion The Sun Leo 0° - 20° 21° - 30° The Moon Taurus 4° - 30° - Mars Aries 0° - 2° 13° - 30° Mercury Virgo 16° - 20° 21° - 30° Jupiter Sagittarius 0° - 10° 11° - 30° Venus Libra 0° - 5° 6° - 30° Saturn Aquarius 0° - 20° 21° - 30° Hope this helps?
