Respected Astrologers,

Would appreciate your guidance regarding how to fast on Purnima,

abstain from what all food etc? Start in the morning? How and when to

break the fast? Will be doing Satyanarayan Vrat Katha, and making

prasad - atte ka halwa too.

Appreciate your advice

Warm regards,

you asked very good question, their are three vidhi of any

vrata (satva-rajas-tamas) it depend which vrata you are keeping and

what is wish behind that.

for poornima vrata it is pure satva and vashnav vrat, one shoud do

followings.

1. left the bed before sunrise and finish nitya karma including bath.

2. chant ganesha mantra mini 21 time.

3. do navgraha puzan(can do short)

4. do chanting of vishnu shastranama, if can offer tulsi patra with

each name nothing better then that.

5. after narayan puza do chanting of laxmi stotras

6. may take falaahar once in day. if sick can take 2 or 3 time.

7. in eve do narayan puzan (if know shodhoupchara- it will be good)

otherwise can do satyanarayan vrat katha or vishnu sahastranama.

8. do chanting of moon mantra or stotra and laxmi stotra.

9 offer watter plus milk plus sugar to moon with laxminarayan mantra.

10. offer Bhog whatever you made for your self (salt should not take

in food)

11. take food and do dhyana of lord narayana till sleep.

if one can continue chant the name of narayana with breath full day

that is unmatchable.

it depend how much one can follow, it is simplest way to do.

god bless

Om namo laxmi narayanay.
