Guest guest
I guess that all the problems you are facing in this present life are blessings in disguise. If your goodness did not lead you to the feet of Almighty,at least your weariness will definitely lead you.And when you are more spiritual & less materialistic & develop detachment from all worldly things & human beings,I am sure you are well on the path of attaining MOKSHA.I remember a late uncle of mine who did NOT ever taste success in any field-career,money,marriage,children etc.He passed away quietly in a temple on VAIKUNTHA EKADASI day while praying in the early morning in a temple. This incident illustrates the point. -----Fight back spam! Guest guest
Dear Sir, Thanks for your valuable inputs. You may very well be correct; the hurdles in life does not necessarily mean that we can not attain Moksha. May be we are paying back for the sanchit karmas of past births and hurdles in the current birth are indicators that we are clearing our account and once it becomes nil, we may attain the unattainable. When i think of Moksha, which is reflected in my chart, i feel that my Ancestors shall achieve it first, i should be able to help them to attain Moksha and only after this i shall be eligible to attain Moksha. My Parents are alive and i wish them to have a long life but at the same time i feel, as a son i shall pave way for their Moksha before i attain it. I really donot know whether these thougths are on right path......my intention certainly are on it. Best Regards Chandra Sekhar Sahal "P.R.K. Guest guest
I understand, in short, and if not mistaken, Moksha is a state when 'Atma' (a form of the Energy which can not be destroyed) gets combined with 'Parmatma' (God - the Ultimate Energy). Guest guest
Dear Chandrasekharji, Good discussions going on. Wish I had time to engage in every and each message and exchange my thoughts. Whhat is Life without hurdles ? that would be vegetable life. Check the palms of those people who are living just without any challenges, ambitions, struggles, efforts etc. These lucky (???)ones , if you check their left palms and the right palms, you would find the lines almost same in both hands, which show no change, they are just flowing with the water, no self efforts to create anything, to make anew, to establish,to introduce, to form, to reform etc. they have enough money left by ancestors, and keep on carrying their ancestral business, going to office, doing their work, coming home, eating, sleeping and life just goes on till they become old, wither away and gather to dust. Not that this Life is wrong. But we need something better, Challenges. Hurdles, problems, some sadness, unhappiness, otherwise, why would anyone remember God ? if all goes on smoothly ? And can we get Moksha without His rememberance ? remember what Boon Kunti Bhua asked of Lord Krishna. Always to give unhappiness, so that she could always remember her Krishna. remember that Meerabai had hurdles all her life, always problems from her husbands side, but finally merged in Krishna. remember Soordasa. remember Swami Prabhupada the Founder of ISCKON. His wife used to taunt him even to serve tea to his visitors, coming home to discuss about God. remember Tulsi-dasa. After he left his wife, then only he became Tulsidasa in the real sense.,as we know him. remember all the Great men, they all had hurdles in their lives, before they could achieve oneness with their Prabhu,Swami and PranNath. So let the hurdles come, but let His remberance remain, and let the remmebrance also make the Remembered, stand always by our sides, due to this rememberance, so that we always have his support, in all our pious endevaours. In fact hurdles have to come mandatorily, since we have been born, it is but imperative that certain paap karmas have been remaining,(Or Punya ones too), otherwise we would have been in the Indrasabha along with the devatas, enjoying, if our past births actions had been without blame. So let the hurdles come, but let Him also stay alongwith us to face these. best wishes, Bhaskar. , chandrasekhar sahal <chandrasekharsahal wrote: > > Dear Sir, > Thanks for your valuable inputs. Guest guest
Dear Friends, Shradha,Pinda daan, etc. are utmost necessary karmas, which all Hindus have to do (are supposed to ),whether their ancestors were wroth getting Moksha or not, whether they were good or frustrated or not, whether they were evil humans or pious humans or not, is not for us to see, observe or judge. By doing the above karmas, we do not ensure Moksha for them, but we certainly clear passage for them to move ahead in their path of heeavenly or astral sojourn, wherever they may be. If anyone has the time to read Manusmriti, then he must do it. It is clearly mentioned what type of foods keep ones soul which has passed away, satisfied , and how for how uch time. We have reference to " Kheer " too. That is why you, would find items in the food plates meant for Shradha, common in most households. To this plate would be added , another item which the ancestor must have liked eating when alive. The above is primarily for keeping the soul appeased for hunger. (the reference is there in Garuda Purana too). The biggest advantages of offeing Pinda and other ceremonies, is that the soul which has passed away, gets a superior transfer from his present state, wherever he may be, to a better state, whenever ceremonies are performed. For example, suppose a person dies and is re-born as a donkey (Due to his bad karmas) , but if those left behind perform the cermonies regularly in this mans name, he may get a death as a Donkey, and may be re-born as a Cow or Horse who may not be a load bearer. This is a most ordinary example. But shows what happens when we living, perform the ceremonies properly and regularly in name of our ancestors. We also have reference to Pitru dosha, in the Lal Kitab etc. and for those born on Purnima or Amavasya , if they donate food-clothes in name of their elders, are certainly doing the right thing. They would be blessed by their ancestors ,even if they are re-born, the messengers of The Almighty take over their jobs, and give us our required due as rewards or blessings. In some cases , the spiritual ethereal body of the ancestor reborn is called to bless you, if you have done your duties well. That is hy the neccesity of a son is so much venered, and a i mportant aspect in a mans Life, especially in India. To give water- after death. Those who forget the death aniversaries of their loved ones, are making the biggest mistake of their lives, which cannot be atoned, unless by suffering, when they pass, their own children if they have not seen their father do this for their grandfather, then how will they do for their own father ? Another important point is, that the genes which have their eccentricities, which are carried on from generation to generation in certyain families, becomes worse for the new generations, if no body has done the services required for the dead ancestors. We see certain families, all the men folk like eating some particular item which may be bad for health, or they must be having a common undesirable trait in the new borns too contiuing without stop in all generations, or some body defect, or they all die with same disease in all generations, or the first born always dies young etc.etc. How to remove these eccentricities or abnormailities. The only way is to appease the dead and passed ones, by performing duties due towards them. That way we get blessed, and our Genes which have been acting naughty, are given a subtle change for the better, the more, we are honest in our duties for the dead of our family, the more do our Genes get better, so that the newborns now coming in our family, would remain without this Dosha, which we and our ancestors have always seen. Therefore, please do not think all this as foolish. The living ones have the powers and not the dead ones. We should use our powers and make our ancestors happy, and be blessed in return, and should never forget that we would be joining them soon, it is just a matter of time. regards, Bhaskar. , " P.R.K. Prasad " <aarkepee wrote: > > We normally do things they liked so as to please their souls that were probably frustrated. > > ----- > Fight back spam! Guest guest
Dear all, About respected Bhaskar's observations about the souls reborn as animals, I would cite an instance that happened as late as 1930-s: Chattampi Swamigal of Trivandrum was an ordinary individual, but with extraordinary powers to identify the transmigrated souls, and was a scholar in Sankrit and Purana-s. He was the Guru of the famous Srinarayana Guru of Ezhava-s in Kerala. While he was walking in the Street at Chalai Bazar, he found a bullock cark coming towards him carrying bags of rice, and both the bulls were shedding tears continuously. He went to the front of the cart, stopped and spoke to the bulls "Why did you commit the serious crimes in your human birth earlier. You have cheated the owners of the shop you were working and hence reborn and suffering this life pulling loads and beating by the cartman. You have suffered enough and I would release you from this bondage. No sooner these words were spoken, the bulls fell dead and the souls released. This was witnessed by several people of the busy bazar in Trivandrum. There are many such miracles attributed to him and witnessed by people in the 20th.Century. Transmigration of souls and their rebirth in any form depending on their deeds is a phenomena believed by Hinduism and observed and revealed by sages and spiritual men with extra sensorial powers. Bhaskarji, Is it not water during the last breaths before death? gangajal is stored and is the most appropriate and where not available spoonfuls of water is given at the moment of death by the son, and some should be devoured showing life and last spoons might not go in- showing death. Guest guest
Dear Kumarji, Yes very true. these are the facts of Life, we all have to see and go through. The deserved ones have the Gangajal before their last breath, rest have to wait for some other birth. Let us all become such, that God Himself takes our responsibility, when our last breath comes, and Nature arranges all that should be, when we are about to depart. Its a daily fight with ones own self, to become good, because the world and the sorroundings do not allow you to remain good, we are not so strong to resist the temptations, at least God has given us the realisation to self analyse, at the end of the day, where we went wrong, and a chance to improve with the next mornings rays of The Sun shine, but we all take this for advantage and continue as if Life is for eternal. I hope we have continued postings on spiritual matters, so that we ever remain in Satsanga, and the wish to become , Good and worthy of God, becomes a passion with each of us. regards, Bhaskar. -- In , S kumar <kumar_8134 wrote: > > " To give water-after death.
