one simple yet most powerful remedy to erase all sins and miseries is

mentioned in shivapurana.

shivapurana, kotirudrasamhita, 36th chapter mentions that once upon a

time lord vishnu was meditating upon an earthen shivling and was

doing the shiva sahasra nama pooja wherein one flower is offered

while reciting each of the thousand names of lord shiva. lord vishnu

collected thousand lotuses for this pooja but lord shiva wished to

test vishnu and made one lotus disappear. having distressed at the

loss of one lotus, vishnu plucked his eye and offered it to lord

shiva as the thousandth flower. to this great act of devotion, lord

shiva appears and gifts the most powerful sudarshana chakra (having

the brilliance of ten thousand suns) to lord vishnu. many people may

not be aware that this sudarshana chakra is gifted by lord shiva as a

result of shiva sahasranama pooja by vishnu.

after this lord shiva also tells that whosoever does shiva sahasra

nama pooja by offering thousand flowers while reciting the thousand

divine names of lord shiva, all their miseries will be solved and

those people will not get bad things even in their dreams.

sage suta while narrating this to his disciples also state that

whosoever listens to this shiva sahasra nama archana will get their

sins erased.

natives suffering from worldly miseries may get the blessings of lord

shiva by doing this shiva sahasra nama archana with thousand flowers.

Namaste Pandit Arjuna,

Thanks for the information you provided.

Also, I would like to get your opinion about the meaning of the story

of the four Kumaras and the two guards (Jaya and Vijaya) at the gates

of heaven, as narrated in the Shrimad Bhagavatam. In particular,

does this story have any bearing as to how we should interpret a

rashi chart.

At the present time, I am researching this area for possible

techniques in chart interpretation. I can share my opinion on this

matter if there is any interest.

Regards,

John R.

dear friend

ekam sat, vipraa bahudha vadanti. truth (god) is one, learnt speak

them of many. great is one god whose manifestations are many.

you are aware of shiva giving a boon to bhasmasura and then vishnu

come in the form of a mohini and dance and save shiva. the shiva and

vishnu roopas keep praising one another and glorifying one another

which shows that these two are not different. it was surprising to

note that once upon a time there were fights between shaivites and

vaishnavaites.

hence worshipping any god of any religion in any form reaches the

same god.
