Guest guest
Hi, I had a question about Ephemeris? There are a number that are used and while there is an effort to legitimize vedic astrology as a science the use of different ephemeris and ayanamsas lead to different prognostications and as such result in chaos and astrology being discredited. Has there been significant research done and is there any move to standardize? I have observed several message interactions where claims are made for the use of a particular ephemeris/ayanamsa/dasha system which have given good results. What does "good results" mean? Is it 70% accuracy? 80, 90 or 95%? I come from a software/manufacturing background where 6 sigma is the "Holy Grail" to be achieved. In a nutshell, 6 sigma refers to having 1 defective part/1 bad or poor service instance in 1million parts/1million customers served. To those who want to know more about 6 sigma please refer to wikipedia.com. In setting up such standards there is definitely a remarkable improvement in the manufacturing industry. My feeling is that until such measures are taken all efforts to legitmize astrology will be for nought, and it will tend to remain on the sidelines. regards, enigma Check Out the new free AIM® Mail -- 2 GB of storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection.
