Dear Dennis,

The last few chapters of Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra extensively

discuss about curses, but the results are restrained only upto

**CHILDLESSNESS**. These combinations are like esoteric principles

with a result from Past birth with a suggested remedy.

I am not aware of any other curses....

I can tell you a combination for Curse for Moon (which I have)..for

a Pisces ascendant, 5th lord is Debilitaed..is the curse due to

Mother of Previous of birth.

Even texts like Bhrigusamhita or Nadi texts speak about curses. But

alas...we are in kali yuga & rebirth is a result of curses. Cant we

get out of it & do our " Karma " ???

Thanq,

Dear dennis,

Curse happens when 2 or more malefic aspects a planet or rasi. There can be more

than one curse in a chart. You need to see which one gives worst suffering

before giving remedies.

When moon is the planet of curse - this means curse of mother from the past

birth. Curses can be from any of the following:

Curses / planets affected

Father / sun

Mother / moon

Sister / venus

Uncle / mercury

Brother / mars

Guru/teacher / jupiter

Nature/snake / rahu

Monks / ketu

Poor / saturn

Wife or husband / venus

Hope the above helps.

Thanks. Rgds

Om namah shivaye

Dear dennis,

When I say malefic, its natural malefics (sun, moon - kirshna paksha, mars,

saturn, rahu and ketu). Mercury can be benefic or malefic depending on the

conjunction.

All planets aspects 7th house from their position. This is called gharga

drishti. Other than this some planets do have special aspects, as below

Rahu and ketu : 5 and 9 house

Jupiter : 5 and 9 house

Saturn : 3 and 10 house

Mars : 4 and 8 house

From their position.

Dear Anand,

Is there any classical reference for these curses that you have

defined. I know this has been extensively taught in SJC circles.

However, what is covered under curses in BHPS is totally

different, hence my question.

Krishna

Dear Anand,

Actually, I have also learnt it through Vistiji's lectures

(mp3s). I am not sure if this is based on parampara teachings at

SJC or based on any classic text.

May I know who is your first Guru?

And, thanks for your kind words about my mails at SJC.

Om namah shivaya

Dear krishna ji, pranams

My first guru is my own father. He imparted the basic knowledge of jyotish to

me. He learnt jyotish from his friend sometime in early 1972. My father is no

way connected to sjc and I don't no about his friend. I feel this is more of the

prampara and not related to any classics. Have you gone thru the website of

Sarbani ji, she also had written on this subject. But her's is more from the

classics.

I will dig for more information on this and keep you posted if I find something

Re: Curses

Dear Anand,

Actually, I have also learnt it through Vistiji's lectures

(mp3s). I am not sure if this is based on parampara teachings at

SJC or based on any classic text.

May I know who is your first Guru?

And, thanks for your kind words about my mails at SJC.

Regards,

Krishna

Hi Rafal,

I saw your site and this is my understanding. For Venus you have

stated Brghu and for Saturn various Gurus. Can you give an exmaple of

a mantra for Brghu. Is this a Sanskrit term? I have never heard this

before.

You response will be appreciated.

Hi Rafal,

I have the answer for the Guru Rupa of Venus. I understand you meant

the Bhargava mantra.

One more query.

In the curse situation if the dipositor of the cursed planet is a

badhaka and a yoga karaka ( and well placed in the chart), does one

still chant the mantra of the Guru Rupa of the dipositor. I have seen

people facing problems after wearing gemstones of badhaka planets

even when it is a yogakarak.

What actually happens when one prays to the dipositor lord. How is

the curse mitigated? Is the curse mitigated or eliminated. How long

one has to say the mantras. I was told for the lifetime.

Thanks and regards,

Mike

Dear Mike, Namaskar

1. Badhakesh is not bad if its in subha yoga, otherwise you should

refer to prayadi deva of bhava karaka.

2.It depends on rasi / amsa of cursed planets. If its in chara rasi

then its easy to remove the blemish.

3. One should make the ammount based on the bhava * 1008.

Rafal,

Thanks for your response.

1. Did you mean the bhava house mulitplied by 1008. So for example if

the curse is in the 4th bhava does it mean 4008 times. And is this to

be said at the rate of 108 per day till you reach 1008. This means

only 37 days which is shorter than the 40 days.

2. I wanted to knwo what actually happens when one prays to teh Guru

Rupa of the planet. Is the curse eliminated or notigated.

So for example if the curse is in the 4th bhava does it mean 4008 times. And is this to be said at the rate of 108 per day till you reach 1008. This means only 37 days which is shorter than the 40 days.2. I wanted to knwo what actually happens when one prays to teh Guru Rupa of the planet. Is the curse eliminated or notigated.Regards,Mike , Rafal Gendarz <starsuponme wrote:>> *kleem namah narasimhaaya*> Dear Mike, Namaskar> > 1. Badhakesh is not bad if its in subha yoga,

Dear Rajarshi,

Namskar. Please clarify the difference between Curses and Bondage (Shaapa & Bandh). It's urgent. Please.

What is theory behind it?

Thanks with best regards,

Mrs. Sunita.

Dear Rafal,

One more query regarding curses, is there any situation where instead of the guru rupa of dipositor or pratyadi devata rupa of karaka we advise a mahavidya mantra? Like for venus curse kamalatmika?

Dear Sunita, As far as my little knowledge goes, a saap is a curse or rather a reaction that you have to face because of some negative action that you may have commited knowlingly or unknowling. For example, you cheat someone now, that creates a feeling of shock or sorrow or anger or maybe all 3 combined together, and the basic law of the universe demands that the same be given back to you in a different life or maybe in the same. That is a shaapa. It does not necessarily have to be someone actually saying out.."therefore I curse you..." like in the average bollywood serials we see on tv. Bondhage is well, bondage. Being tied down. Generally equal number of planets in 2,12 or 5,9 etc houses can result in bandhana for the person. See the chart of nelson mandela to get a better understanding. This can lead to physical bondage as well. The place of bondage can be seen from the rasis involved, and the planets

can indicate the nature of bondage. Like scorpio can indicate being held in an underground area. Now planets and sepcially malefics in 12th from AK in rasi are the cause of bondage in life. Just like 12th from ak in navamsa is liberation. A malefic here can lead a person to jail. Generally I believe bondage should be treated as keeping someone confined in a place against their will, by force or by circumstance. In this regarding, Visti mentions in his book and i have seen it working is lots of charts, AK combined by shani or nodes or a malefic mars creates "feeling" of being held down, like bondage. This is w.r.t to the area where the combinatin manifests. Like I have rahu (ak) with mars and shani in my tenth, and there is nothing I hate more than going to office daily. To escape frmo bondage, Shiva needs to be propitiated along with chanting of the specific beejas for the atmalinga that suits the

chart. And pray to him with the five types of items namely, flower, sweets, dhoop, water, and diya. Thats pretty much what I understand from the two terms. -Regards Rajarshi Sunita Joshi <sunita_joshi07 wrote: Dear Rajarshi, Namskar.
