Guest guest
Namaste everyone I've JUST returned from yet another *wonderful* hospital stay <sigh> and am trying to catch up with emails and studies. While "playing" with the JH software, I discovered something and have a question. When you insert your birthdata--it stays at that data regarding location unless you change it within the birthdata. If I want to compute transits--for today--it would be the transits as of the place of my birth, not where I'm living today. Is this correct or should we be able to change the location without affecting our birthdata? If there is a way of doing this, could someone please let me know? Thank You!! And I AM trying to get around to responding to emails from the past 3 weeks, so, if you've sent me something, please know I'm not ignoring you or being disrespectful--it's just going to take a few days to catch up!!! Blessings, elaine Jai Ma!!
Guest guest
Hello Elaine, Namaste to You too, Welcome back from the hospital stay and hope You stay away from there for a long time to come. If I am not mistaken You are asking about location changes. Whatever method You may be using for Progressed charts, Primary or Secondary Directions, but when a native has shifted from his birth place and wants to check the transit or progressed chart, it is always advisable to go for the new location as the Birth place (For this Chart)and proceed to study accordingly. For O.D,M. or Radix method its not going to make much of a diffeence, but when you go for Secondary Directions (Using ACD), You get a clearer picture if You take the present location and make the chart on the birth date using this current location. regards, Bhaskar. , " Elaine Gardner " <egardner wrote: > > Namaste everyone > > I've JUST returned from yet another *wonderful* hospital stay <sigh> and am > trying to catch up with emails and studies. Guest guest
Dear Elaine, Technically, using the Software and saving the same for changes made, You may save the new one as Elaine- (Transit 2007) in brackets. That way even the old and new ,both would remain. Guest guest
Thank You Bhaskarji Although that's what I've done for now, and can understand most of what you said,...what if the native was to have moved a great distance from his birth--ie: from US-->India or the reverse. I would think that that *would* make a large difference--or maybe just take the birthdata and the present locations data and calculate from there? Blessings! elaine <who DOES wish she could stay away from medical establishments--more than anyone could know--BUT, has to go back for one more round of chemo in a few weeks----after that, I'm going to stick with Ayurveda alone for awhile > Jai Ma!! Guest guest
Elaine, even for those who have moved few hundreds of kilometres away from their homes and staying there currently, even for them they should make the progreesed chart for this new place, so for those who have moved thousands of kilometres away, its certainly going to make a large difference and its imperative and essential that they now make a progreesed chart with the new location for any birth date and year they are seeking results for. The software would now just need a new input of location barring the time of birth input which would remain same except for the year for which chart has to be cast. Its just a two minutes job on the comp. regards, bhaskar. , " Elaine Gardner " <egardner wrote: > > Thank You Bhaskarji Although that's what I've done for now, and can > understand most of what you said,...what if the native was to have moved a > great distance from his birth--ie: from US-->India or the reverse.
