Dear All,

I am a new member to this group. Mr. Anand Ravi recommended this forum

for astrological insights, and I've found quite a few interesting

posts while looking through the archives.

I've seen many folks recently refer to the upcoming eclipse as a

significant astrological event, however, I haven't found anything

about how it impacts one.

Please elaborate on the effects this eclipse might have in our lives.

Regards

-Ash

Hi Ash,

I too have this question. I know that in Western Astrology a Lunar

eclipse brings an ending of some sort in the area of the chart that is

impacted, while a solar eclipse signifies a beginning. I too will be

interested to know about what this signifies in Vedic astrology. I know

that it is a good time to have remedies energized by chanting of the

Yajna? Not certain but believe this is what I have read. I am not sure

that I have even used the right word.....Anyway, thanks for asking

about this issue.

Dear Ones,

Whether West or east, Eclipse though may not be seen at all places,

does have an impact all around in the atmosphere, some where more

denser, somewhere lesser, but the effect is there on all including

invidual horoscopes and the owners of these charts. So manythings are

going on all around the wrold, that one cannot talk about all such

happennings, but one can certainly talk, how one can take advantage

of, in such a scenario.

In case of eclipses, during the period of duration it stays, if one

sits with a Rosary (Japa Mala) and takes His Gods name. ie.

recites his God names, the number of such recitations have the power

to be multiplied by thousands times, to give effect to the person

doing the recitation, during Eclipse time. But instead of personally

taking the results such accrued, if the person sits with a bowl of

water, takes some water in his hand at the end of the eclipse, and

tells The lord " Please give the good effects and results of my

recitations,to my beloved ancestors who have passed away " ,then

You are sure shot going to be blessed by both God and even Your own

Departed ancestors whom you have given a further smooth path now,

for their further evolution.

So do the above, and no sexual relationships, eating,

drinking or going out(Specially for a lady with Menses or

one carrying),during the time the Eclipse stays.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Sir,

I plan to sit for the Jaap during 3.00 AM (Start of the eclipse) to

6.42 AM end of the eclipse.

My JIJAjee is suffering from Cancer and Doctors have given him six

months life. Could i offer the result of Jaap to Ancestors as well

as my Jjajee's well being. Is it okay to offer it to both living and

departed at the same time.

Oh Yes Mr Sahai,

You can offer this to anyone alive or not alive, its

just like prayers, but with with more solid essence

and weight in it, with actual tangibility in what You

are offering.

Bhaskar.

Dear Mr. Vijay,

This is not Shradha tarpan (Yearly ceremonial rites after

the death of a family member)or Pinda daan, so no

connection with what You are saying. This is more like

the good effects of a Act transferred to another person

more needing than us. Like Jesus or the great Saints used

to do in days of yore when they used to transfer the

ill health of others upon themselves, with their power,

here you are doing the same thing, with a difference,

ie,transferring the power acquired by recitataion of

Incantations to someone of your own family (Living or

deceased)who can benefit from the same.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Vijai,

Now since You are already travelling as per your schedule,

do not worry or harbour any fears unnecessarily, the

pooja or recitation of Mantras I was talking of gains

power and multiplicity only during the Eclipse times,

but at other times also its always advisable is it not ?

by travelling I meant unnecessary travelling, like

people go out for late night booze or dance parties etc.

or just for a drive till early morning discussing nothing

but senseless temporarily exhilarating conversations

for time pass.

Bhaskar.

Dear Clelia,

Bhaskar Here. (Bashar makes me sound like some Rich

Arab,which I am not).

Eclipse does not have its own power. It happens due

to the planetary movements. But its effects are there.

A train does not have its own power. It moves due to the power

received from the Electric cables overhead.

Like when a train is approaching a station where

burgularies take place often (We have one station in India

known as Bhusaval, when we travel long distance and this this

station when comes on the way theres an announcement on the

public address system for all passengers of the

train to keep their windows and Compartment doors closed )

the passengers take precautions and do the needful. Now the

whole train with all the passengers sitting in it are involved

and none of them are supposed to be be careless. But at certain

points (Difficult Charts) where the train is resting say

last bogie at the end of the platform, where more trouble

can be caused and the burgulars can get away, here the

passengers have to be extra careful.

Therefore all have to be careful, some more or some less,

theres no power in itself for the eclipse but due to its

coming and shadow falling at certain places, the people here

have to be more so effected specially with Sun and Moon on

Natal points matching the transits at the time of eclipse.

Our old ancestors used to say, that God suffers when eclipses

take place , to relieve his pain , we take His name.

Just like they used to say when we were younger, and shaking

our legs sitting on a stool or a chair , that dont shake your legs,

otherwise Your Uncle will have more weight on his shoulders.

Now why or how we never enquired, and neither do I think they would

have answered with any apparent logic, but I believe them,

just like we belive when My Mother said call this Man Your Papa

when I was a child and she was teaching us to speak.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Bhaskar, I´m soo sorry to change your name!

I apologize :-(

I know what the eclipse is and that " she" has no power. The power comes from the rays that fell in a point of an specific chart: If it’s a good point, good for you, if it’s a difficult point, you must take care. And...if something happens with my fellow man, it have an influence in my own life. Earth is a train, really.

I enjoyed your metaphor using the the train:-)

The new thing is that the pray is for God, if I understood you well.

But I did not catch the story about boys shaking legs, what you meant?

kind regards

Dear Bhaskarji,

When you say in your note "do not go out, eat, etc." DURING the eclipse--for what period do you mean? For example, although the Eclipse will be visisble here in the NE US tomorrow evening, it will only be for an hour at the most---but that is just PART of the total Eclipse. Originally, I had planned on going up to the Ashram (himalayaninstitute.org--where I lived for 2 years and was the webmaster there) on the top of the mountain tomorrow to watch it, but after recieving a reading of my chart today, I'm supposed to remain in Sadhana--I'm just not sure for how long? Believe me, it remaining in Sadhana may possibly help in my situation, I'll stay put all day if needed!

Namaste,

most---but that is just PART of the total Eclipse.  Originally, I had planned on

going up to the Ashram (himalayaninstitute.org--where I lived for 2 years and

was the webmaster there) on the top of the mountain tomorrow to watch it, but

after recieving a reading of my chart today, I'm supposed to remain in

Sadhana--I'm just not sure for how long?  Believe me, it remaining in Sadhana

may possibly help in my situation, I'll stay put all day if needed!

Namaste,

Dear friends,

If Moon eclipes occures before Sun eclipes within a month that becomes harmful

to people. It creats differences among Varnas.

Therefore this eclipes is not favourable to general public because Sun eclipes

is going to be occured within a month on 19th of March 2007.

What should one do during the period of eclipse period? One must chant his Guru -

Mantra or Estdev Mantra or Mritunjaya Mantra as " OM JUM SAH: " any place at that

time.

God bless

So do the above, and no sexual relationships, eating,

drinking or going out(Specially for a lady with Menses or

one carrying),during the time the Eclipse stays.

regards,

Bhaskar.
