Guest guest Posted November 25, 2006 Report Share Posted November 25, 2006 Dear Beatriz Whereas the trikona represent 1-5-9 and change with the 12 ascendents, the mooltrikonas are a category of sign owner ship e.g. cancer is exaltation for Jupiter, Pisces it's own sign and Saggitarius its MTK. Similalrly, Venus exalts in Pisces, Tauras is it's own sign and Libra its MTK. Mool Trikona is a area of strength for a planet,which lies somewhere in between the Swagrahi and Exaltation points of the planets. Any Planet even though not exalted, but placed in its Mool trikona sign is considered to be very strong and comfortable. Planets/Sign of Mooltrikona Sun- Leo Moon - Taurus Mars - Aries Mercury - Virgo Jupiter - Sagittarius Venus - Libra Saturn - Acquarius As atma gnani rightly said- //The MTK is the sign in which the planets express thier energies more agreesivly(note the masculine nature of the MTK's// Keeping aside the Sun and Moon (Who are the Luminaries), except for Mercury,the Mool Trikona signs of the other Planets are their respective Odd (Male) Signs. The Mool Trikonas are those Houses again on which the base of Friendships and enmity tables is based, if you do this manually without the aid of computer, you start with the M.T houses as Lagna for each Planet and then point out who are friends to it, who are enemies and who are neutral.
