Guest guest
Namaste Navik, The badhaka planet for any lagna represents the planet that imposes restrictions or delays to an individual's life situation. The badhaka planet does not necessarily mean it is malefic. For movable lagnas, the badhaka planet is the lord of the 11th house. For example, for a Cancer ascendant, the badhaka is Venus, the lord of the 11th house. For fixed lagnas, the badhaka planet is the lord of the 9th house. For dual sign lagnas, the badhaka planet is the lord of the 7th house. Guest guest
Vaidyanath Dikshitar the great author of Jataka Parijata had put it nicely and in a complete manner- with following conditions (a) association of these badhaka with gulika/mandi/saturn. Taking the other way round association of badhaka lord with the Yoga karaka Planet or Yogada Planet reduces the negative aspects and hence most of the times in most of the horoscopes, the subtle effects of these badhaka effect are not at all perceptible even to the most intelligent of Jyotishis.
