Guest guest
Dear Friends, When things dont go our way, and when life does not move as per our wishes,we so many times wish that we were not living, but frankly speaking if anyone was told to take poison and leave life at that moment how many will do so ? I dont think anyone in his right mind would want to take his life. One of the primary fears in a mans life is serious illness and death. Talking is different and dying is different, no one wants to do so if things are working okay with him and he is not physically incapacitataed. We actually all want to live in Hope, for life has much to offer and so has the world too. Ask any normal man who is dying suddenly, he would be too happy to be granted some more years of living. But what about those who are genuinely bogged down by the troubles seen due to their destiny and so weak of mind that they contemplate and actually commit suicide? I am sure the fear of death would of course be no more when they are already dead, but I am sure now such people would be having fear of not having a body and must be cursing themselves that I wish I had lived and could have done so much and this much. I think friends, whatever may be the problems, dissappointments, unhappiness, cpmmplications in ones life, one should still keep caryying on his appointed duties without any brooding because since he cannot change so many things, its better to change ones attitude and approach to circumstances at hand. So being cheerful and accepting so many things as they are would make much difference in our mental state in major part of the day. Contentment is the key and accepting those near us, as they are without expecting change in them would make matters better for us, if actually not change the environment. Though better said then done. This may be a waste of your times.,but just wanted to share what I was thinking. That people wish to die, but it is not very difficult to live with peace inside if one accepts his own shortcomings and ignores others and does not try to touch the sky with his ambitions with feet on ground, then all is well, that is not so gloomy as we make it out to be. People who want to leave this Earth are in PAIN seeing no way to find relief except to kill themselves. It really has nothing to do, IMHO with weakness, but rather a lack of knowledge and skills to bring themselves to a place where they can connect with the Highest part of themselves. Once people know and understand how to bring themselves out of depression that have tools. >I am sure the fear of death would of course be >no more when they are already dead, but I am sure now such people would >be having fear of not having a body and must be cursing themselves that >I wish I had lived and could have done so much and this much. People who are connected to Spirit trust that whatever happens is for the best Higher Good .... but when anyone becomes emotionally and spiritually bankrupt, logic no longer applies. The body's chemistry spirals downward. >That people wish to die, but it is not very difficult to >live with peace inside if one accepts his own shortcomings and >ignores others and does not try to touch the sky with his ambitions >with feet on ground, then all is well, that is not so gloomy as >we make it out to be. Clinical depression is very complicated and people tend to isolate themselves when they feel despondent .... a shotgun approach of getting people moving physically, even if walking for a short distance a day (which for someone immobilized with depression is a huge event), finding something to change their mood like music is the start .... movement and music. Drinking lots of water and eating healthy food is the next. I believe that if we truly cannot tolerate our life here any longer that we can ask Spirit to take us home and that we don't have to kill ourselves if we want to leave. But having a good support system in the way of *FRIENDS* (or family) who do not allow their friend to be alone when depressed, nor allow them to feel unloved nor become too sluggish would replace the need for mental health centers in the world. I would like to believe that LOVE can conquer all. On a totally different note, sometimes the death of one person is all about the one who is LEFT here to grieve them and was a contract agreed to by both before they came to Earth. -- Cheers, Fay Every day in Flagstaff is just another day in Paradise! © Fay S. Guest guest
dear bhaskarji, I would like to add a few lines. u will have to classify into 2 categorie.the worst sufferer among them are the old individuals who have to lead their life in a solitary environment, for them there willbe a constant fear of falling sick with incapacitation and no one to attend to their emergent situation. the IInd category are those who are suffering from terminal illness, their desire will be to quit the world at the earliest than tobe a burden to others. We should always pray that we dont fall into these 2 categories. Rest is not in our hands. since diwali is fast approaching maybe this not the right time to discuss this time to discuss. let the glow of diwali keep everyone happy and healthy. with diwali greetings, k.gopu
