Guest guest
{Om Namo Narayanaya} Dear Gopu ji, Bhaskar ji, Namaskar. This brings to my mind the Dabbewalahs of Mumbai who have acquired international fame. What is their *education*? The world's yardsick- MBA or knowledge of perfect coordination, planning and true *management*, so perfect that the renowned portals of learning of Management request lectures from them. They have received invitations to the wedding of Prince Charles!!! Sometimes I wonder, why do we attach so much of importance to the Formal education? I am the most worried parent when my elder son has/had breaks in education. Is it the mindset? The acceptance from society, the invisible pat on the back? This has always troubled me. Why this hypocrisy? I am the epitome of the scores of parents all over the globe. Unless we set aside the mindset, think outside the box, but when and how? As Bhaskarji said the degrees are nothing but the stepping stones for lucrative professions. They are not the real harbingers of knowledge. But still we go by them , crave for them. Guest guest
Dear Naliniji, The problem is that we want to better our neighbours and friends and contacts and relatives. Thats why there is so much competetion all around.Trying to be equal if not one up. When we see others/their children doing well having good proffessions and earning 6 digit salaries monthly with their academic qualifications, then we feel having missed that and also want our children to do the same what their contemporaries are doing, ie,studying well and earning well. Because no one wants to be behind. Everyone loves having best of cars, home gadgets, luxuries, Plasma Wall Tv screens, home theatres, best of cell phones, going to best of restuarants, shopping at malls sprung up every where, and still having enough in Bank to count. Its actually not easy to have these pleasures in majority of the cases if one does not have good academic background. But as law of duality works, When You have one, you loose another, or will be suject to the others side effects too. Getting strain on the eyes (Specs), not having good body, because whole time is spent immersed in books, missing family life, staying away from social circuits, missing the fun of childhood and early youth. You see the Doctors, most of them become succesful only after the age of 35 only and still busy and studying all the time. By that time their parents have become old, and they miss out on playing together. This hypocrisy of becoming better than others and in process making ones life very hectic, target-setted with unending targets, with no time left at end of day, on the contrary people nowadays find the days too short for their work to complete.,this hypocrisy will never end till one learns to feel and be contented with whatever one has. Though that should not mean that one should not be ambitious and stop working, but somewhere each of us has to draw a line, that Okay this much should be enough for me. Let people think what they may. I will not waste my life further in temporary persuits. So I am also and so are the other parents on the same side of the shore. You need not feel isolated. We are bound by these social strings and do not have strength to come out or show the way because that would mean sacrificing our own childrens commercial future first. I too did remember the dabbawalahs when Gopuji posted his message and hope that the modern educationists do not corrupt this dedicated lot. Most of them are the followers of Vithoba and wear white caps, and theres a unwritten rule among this religious lot, that when they go to take the dabba(Tiffin) when the man is not around and the housewife or women comes to give them the same, this good lot, they do not glance upwards in the eyes of the women nor stare nor mantain eye contact more than necessary. they keep their eyes and glance lowered. This beautiful aspect has to be displayed to the public and not what the other things they are trying to convey and spoil their system. my mail was a bit long as usual.I am sorry.hope its not boring. When I start writing it just flows. what to do. regards, Bhaskar. , " auromirra19 " <nalini2818 wrote: > > > {Om Namo Narayanaya} > > Dear Gopu ji, Bhaskar ji, > > Namaskar. > > This brings to my mind the Dabbewalahs of Mumbai who have acquired > international fame. Guest guest
dear Mrs.nalini, When Dabhawallah's of Mumbai were invited to UK by Prince Charles, I suggested in a different forum that there functioning should be a very good thesis material for Management courses. I got a reply from a reader at that time that since there are no MBA's involved in the functioning of Dabhawallah's theyre very effecient. Once again no offence to MBA's. BTW did u get an article on Papaya juice it is now quite effective for Dengue and it also is good for sore throat. Probably u can try it for rejuvenating ur lungs. It may not do any harm. with good wishes, k.gopu

OMG that is so true .... there is a price and a pay off for everything. If we focus on the material, we might tend to neglect the spiritual. Indeed there are only so many hours in a day and my goal lately is to figure out what I *really* want and manifest that. >my mail was a bit long as usual. never >I am sorry.hope its not boring. >When I start writing it just flows. what to do. Guest guest
Exactly.Taken out of my heart and put here. One at times does not know what one really wants, whether its spiritual yearnings, materialistic ones or what. But everywhere when we have one part of the cake the other side gets bitten too by others. we cant have enough of all of them. But the problem still continues because one wants all of them, at times me included, because however one may talk only of spirit, he forgets all this talk when his body gets pierced by a Doctors injection or comes under the surgeons knife. In the same way we also at times are vulnerable to all types of attractions and want enjoyment from all, clearly knowing that apart from spiritualism nothing can give us complete contentment or peace. But the search continues. come again. Where does in your school of astrology the 'ego' fall in the chart .... that part that gets defensive insteal of loving or compassionate? Here in US I think they talk of the Sun energies, but I am not sure that would be correct .... as the ego is our burden being in human form, ... duality .... can we make the eago sit in the back seat while we stay in contact with Spirit ? where do you look in chart for such a thing? -- Cheers, Fay Every day in Flagstaff is just another day in Paradise! © Fay S. Guest guest
Dear Fay, Not sure, maybe unafflicted Jupiter aspecting the Ascendant, or Tamasik planets like Mars and Rahu away from the ascendant point, Rahu away from Moon or Jupiter, in fact away from all Planets connected to ascendant, Unafflicted Mooon, strong Moon, unafflicted Sun,or Venus aspecting Moon etc.. Too much of Jupiteranian Qualities as well as Strong Sun both bring in the Ego factor to come in play. With saturn coming nearby these take back seat or more soberness comes in. You will find Mount of Jupiter very fat on certain persons with big Ego.For certain other lucky ones, endowed with Ego but with a change, you will still see fat mount of Jupiter on their palms but again this Mount would have shifted towards below of Saturn finger, thus making them Humble as well, as time demands. That I call is a perfect mix. Apart from astrological, I say that its a inner process, for any person to first realisation that His Ego is coming in way to his material and sppiritual progress both, after this realisation next step is to devise certain ways over a period of time to remove these blocks which are causing impediment to one, for people coming more near him, or loving him,or caring for him, or needing/wanting him. Because any person with a inflated Ego people do their work whatever is, and get out fast from close prximity to avoid the excesses. Personally I feel a certain level of Ego is definitely desired for some self respect in ones existemce, but not a iota above that. Wecan start learning and getting better from home itself when we expect much from our wives and when expectation is not met, we show our hurt in a number of ways. Sublimity of Ego first practised at home, where it is most difficult, spread over a period of time, depending on different people with various degrees of Ego and realisation keys, will pave way in time where one becomes really what one is supposed to, a Son of God, maybe not Jesus, but what Jesus would like us to be. This is a continous process, because Ego can take over any moment ond before one realises that he has already unleashed the power of Ego on some unsuspecting soul. You are making me think Fay.
