Ya know b.b.b......

They trash around in their fevered delirium.......sometimes I just want to put

my arms around them and place a cool cloth on their steaming forehead.

But they twist and turn......their little salamander arms reach out into the

darkness to clutch and hold......but when the light is touched......they recoil

back into the familiar.

I watch them.....all spippery-slidy in their personal shadownland........eyes

clinched shut.....

They open their little mouths..... groaking out their misery......

......and I gotta tell you......It just breaks old toombaru's ever-expanding

heart.

(I tried to make one of those little sad faces......but it's just not sad

enough.)

**** It's okay, I'll hipity hop from one diversion to another with ya. It's not about belief. I believe I had a dream about a fire breathing dragon last night, but i don't take it so seriously that I talk to folks about how to protect themselves from dragons.

You are nothing but a program that evolved to seek that which it finds pleasant

and avoid that which it finds unpleasant.

See that and watch what happens.

(warning........it isn't a pleasant experience)

Can there be a dialog that produces a coherent mutually shared context

concerning the true color of Cinderella's dress?

****Yup, that's how the story plays out, but if you're going to hang your hat on a story, why not embrace the whole story; You are a person who was born and will die and experience suffering and joy. Is there more to the story than that?
