Guest guest
Perceiving a threat, an attack, immediately makes you aware of your boundaries, of your limitation. It contracts you, it limits you, it confines you. It immediately gives you a sense of separateness, ....a sense of separate self, a sense of separate " me " ! Eckhart Tolle calls it the " pain body " . The pain body is a contraction, a sense of separation, a something the mind believs needs protection, and the fear this creates sustains and feeds the pain body, thereby reinforcing it. When the pain body has been dissolved, then there is nothing left to protect. Then there remains a lightness, peace and nice feeling in body and mind, and the sense of a totally separate " me " is no longer there. I guess. al. In enlightened state, there is NO `other' ----- There is perception, there is Sight ... there is diversity and colors, the play, the leela, the game, the dream ... the changing configuration, the flowing river, the wavy ocean ... ....but, there is NO Other ! In Deep Sleep, ....there is NO Other ... When you wake up, ....then, too there is No Other ! You might see a body ... might sense... might feel... Senses are, feelings are, seeing is ... But, " me " and " other " is NOT ... Call it Oneness, call it Wholeness, ( None of them really describe it. ) But, then, as soon as a threat is perceived, the " other " is felt and so is ...the " Me " !
