Guest guest
I wanted to re-address " Is there anything beyond thoughts ? " . But, then, I got afraid that it might result into a potentially long and in " my POV " , " nonsense dressed up a great philosophy " from Lewis. Which, then, might result into a response from ac, then Lewis and after going through the series of about 10-15 messages, it will end where it started. So, I was not sure, if I should reply. In my POV, Lewis either has a Great addiction to " keep talking " , " keep debating " . He seems to 'simply want' to keep ...the talk going. What is being talked and why seems to matter much less but if just the talk keeps going the main objectives seems to be fulfilled. Probably, this current 'habit', 'addiction' is the result of 'idle' time that he mentions and perhaps, spiritual lists are currently his favorite ...PASSTIME. I am NOT criticizing this habit or behavior. I surely know many people who are this way and are greatly comfortable and enjoy being this way. In fact, their discomfort comes when they are ... " Not talking " . Talking for them seems natural. An effortless relief - what gets talked is of very little significance, ...lie, truth, fantasy, philosophy ...keep talking, that's all. However, I tend to take talk as honest, truthful expression or honest, truthful, sincere inquiry. Again, I am NOT claiming that the second approach is better or superior. I have ran into problem enough number of times to know that it is quite ....foolish and hazardous to assume that people are talking that way. I also don't want to sound critical of Lewis. Lewis shows great patience, great tolerance and is very accommodating, restrained and respectful in his communication. That said, I do believe that Lewis's style of talking is quite different and might result in frustration and disappointment for people who think of talk mostly as an honest, sincere way to reach somewhere (an agreement, new info, discovery ) and not just to keep talking. By replying to this message, I fear that I might end up in self- looping thread that can potentially take lot of time and go nowhere. With this big " sorry " , let us begin ...
