Subject/Object knowledge cannot remain an instant after the cessation of duality. For to suppose that it could would entail a new suppression of duality and so lead to infinite regress, which could mean that duality could never cease. Hence it stands proved that the cessation of the three states of waking, dreaming, and dreamless sleep, that are superimposed on the Self and are the source of all 'evil', occurs simultaneously with the authoritive cognition which negates them...AJ Alston on Sankara. Namaste Devi, It is impossible to retrieve the raindrop once it has merged in the ocean. Gaudapada statement indicates a never happening situation with duality. He was essentially Sankara's Guru. What you are doing is confusing the individual unrealised Jiva with the oversoul so to speak....ONS...Tony.
