Guest guest
Dear Experts, I have been told, ...some of you are doctors and some of you in general, seem to understand brain and its functions very well. I have some related observations that I am trying to understand and find some explanation for. Perhaps, you can help me understand it. I have sensed that whenever, I am engaged in any ego-based thinking, ...my front brain seems Active. ( Where ego id defined as personal identity, ...me, this person having this job, wife, family, responsibility ... ) This area seems to be active whenever, I am engaged in any mental activity that feels like any effort as well as even a slight mental pain or suffering. This seems to be area of ...personal `I'. When, I notice it, ...I am also able to switch back. Switch back to ...No identification, No limited `me'. This seems like the end of all boundaries, all barriers, all limitations ... Almost no thought. Full Presence ... Self seems like ...All. Loss of personal I, ...beginning of universal Love. This Seems like ...I AM. Here, all the pain, suffering ...as well as almost all thoughts seems to instantly vanish. Surprisingly, even the slight physical discomfort and pain which probably are just reflection of emotion or mental pain or block ...seem to instantly vanish. In this state, ...only back top part of the Brain seems active. All other parts seem completely seem Silent. There is also a state that can be called as ... " Resting in Heart " . This seems like the state of complete effortlessness, ease, surrender and comfort. Here the heart seem very Full, kind of soaked in love, happiness and contentment ... Here, depending on where I focus, either the areas on the forehead between the eyes ( possibly because of breathing ), or, lower back part of the brain seems active. All other parts seem to be Completely Silent.
Guest guest
In the state, where I sense only back part of the brain active, ...I am able to perform actions that do not require much involved mental thinking such as ...driving, walking, listening to music, watching nature. However, I don't do any involved mental analysis, reasoning or judgment. Anything that I hear, ...just falls without resulting in any automatic processing. Even to remember something or to mentally process something that otherwise seem to happen on its own, ...feels like needing an effort. The moment, I sense that something else is `expected', ...I seem to be shifting to front part of brain. Consciousness, Awareness, intelligence seems to be coiling, contracting, focusing and ...the `effort' seem to start. In the state, where it feels like ... " resting in heart " , ...even the language and comprehension seem to start dropping. It seems to be totally sinking, ...total effortlessness, ....and, I seem to stop even understanding or comprehending what I hear. I don't even seem to register ...if what is spoken is in a language or not. To come out of it usually takes kind of jolt, a splash, a somewhat intense stimulus. .. .... ...... And, there is a state where the middle part of the brain seems active, ....here, I don't feel much effort, ...but I feel well connected to the body and being able to function efficiently in almost any kind of activity including most professional, social and personal activities. But, worries, involved elaborate planning, speculative what if analysis as well as, ... un-acceptance of the present, still seems to be liked with front and near front brain. They seem to always feels like some contraction and many, most times seem like an effort, many times even leading to physical discomfort. Do you have some ideas ...? With warm regards, ac. PS: Of course, all of this is just based on how it feels to me, ...how I seem to sense it rather that based on some MRI brain scan.

What are `awakened' ones, ...dear Toombaru ???? Do you know .... " ANY " ? How are they " really " different than ...anyone ? BTW, ...which of these alleged " awakened " ones you have read talking about ... " I AM " , " love " being linked to any part of the ...'physical' Brain? Because, ...I have not still ready ANY. If at all, I have read anything on similar lines, ...then, it is from scientists who have tried to make fun of those who call themselves " awakened " ones. Or, Are you simply on some kind of Vendetta, ...Toombaru? Just saying anything, anywhere without having any base, `facts' or reasons ....just to see how much of everybody's time you can waste ? ....are you just " trolling " , Toom? If Not, ...then, please let me know answers to the above questions. > > > It's a tricky little monkey. > > > > > > Oooooo........Oooooo.......Ooo

Have you ever seen those cute little birds that alight atop elephants and hippos and in their numbers keep the ears and nose and necks and shoulders free from pesky bugs and ticks and other annoying insects. The big guys just love those little birdies, because they do what the big guys could never do; and the little birdies just love those big guys, because they represent a treasure trove of delectables in a thoroughly safe surrounding. Is there truly a difference between how sensations appear, and what they are? Are the appearance, and the reality of mental events two different things? Even if they were, how could we distinguish between the two? Or know which one is more important? It's crucial that we see how our faith in labels trick us. How can a label change anything? Yet, very smart people in these spiritual circles chase endlessly after labels like bulls charging the red cape, and ignoring the matador. So does the label " I Am " really changes that sensation of no identity? Would calling it Poo Bear change it? So what are the results for any one of calling it I am " or 'infinite love'? It will reassure the person that it has achieved something transcendental, maybe immortal, or divine. It's a status thing. > > A: >One immediate question would arise, ... WAKE UP MAN!!! Dear Hao, In order to be able to really predict your behavior as well as to really guess, what you will do in any particular scenario, ...don't I need to know you a little first ? In order to do the same thing for " ac " don't you need to know him a little first, Hao ? Do you know him, Hao? Perhaps, Not ... Or have you created a generalized model that you expect to apply equally to all humans. In other words, ...based on this generalized model, ...do you expect all humans to think and act exactly same in a given scenario ? We know, ...many have tried to do so. We also know that they have mostly failed. But, let us leave that aside. Let us now focus on other things in the message. I am Not Sure what gave you impression that the message was trying to prove or disapprove enlightenment or other things... I thought that the first sentence of the message will make it clear that I am trying to understated some sensations / feelings / thoughts / emotions / observations / knowledge / appearance in terms of the mechanics and functions of the brain. That sentence and the sentences following it are reproduced below again for your reference. See, if it is clear now: First Sentence: " I have been told, ...some of you are doctors and some of you in general, seem to understand brain and its functions very well. " Next two sentences: " I have some RELATED observations that I am trying to understand and find some explanation for. Perhaps, you can help me understand it. " As we have seen, science has discovered, ...and, as we see everyday, ...the nature in general work in very consistent, simple, straight and elegant ways. Scientists have been able to observe lot of these, discover the formulas and rules according to which it works and then have been even able to COPY it to solve many problems and build many Devices. Scientists have Now started studying Meditation and its working, action and impact on the physical brain. They have been able to find a pattern and their study is still continuing ... It is possible that one day after discovering some mostly `beneficial' ( i.e. beneficial' in terms of peace and joy but negatively affecting worldly or professional abilities and attitude ) impacts of meditation, samadhi ...they would devise a `chemical pill', a physical device or ...even `surgically' alter the brain that would produce those changes in an instant that might have taken some monks years of practice. ...and, that might still be elusive to many, many others. Even before that, ...it was a common knowledge that many drugs produce some effects which are quite similar to those related to K- awakening, meditation and samadhi. My curiosity and questions were and are ...on that line. I am/was wondering if there is a link with different part of the physical brain and the sensations / feelings / thoughts / emotions / observations / knowledge / appearance that are commonly associated with meditation, samadhi etc ... ....and, if yes, ...do the people on this site especially doctors and those who otherwise have studied or know brain pretty well can say something about it. That said, ...do you know something on this line, Ho ? Do know something about the workings of brain ? If yes, ...could you please kindly share it with us. With warm regards and ...thanks, ac. PS: sorry for any confusion that I might have caused. Hope it is more clear now. Please let me know if I should explain it further.
