Guest guest
Glad to see a familiar face (or whatever). I saved an email warning you wrote me a year ago. Success for me was being able to experience a state of surrender. I was able to lay there and let all hell break loose and stay centered. Typically my emotions/reactions will get involved in what I'm hearing. This time it was like listening to the whole thing on tape. Not " me " being present while it's going on. What I write has value ( if any) for that particular moment, it should not be taken as a blue print to navigate the unexpected. S:Success for me was being able to experience a > state of surrender. I used to sit and listen to the noice of traffic, as if I were listening to music. After a few months of doing that, I found the sound of traffic was better than music. As the sound of a car faded, it began revealing a mysterious depth, as if the true nature of space was in that fading sound. I still do it for fun, sometimes. Surrendering, that is, giving up trying to manage your perceptions and interior states is also an excellent practice. That stance of resistance, and preference is what creates the false entity. ( As Toom and Kip wrote yesterday) So to this brain, liberation is a knack to let the landscape of life move you. No different than skiing. Enlightenment could be said to be the knack of fading into the background. So, I think, your on the right track. Best, Pete >
