> Merry Meet all..

> who could explain me what is or who is " Nisargadatta " ?

hi,nisargadatta was an enlightenend being that lived in India

recently, he's left that body....but His words were recorded in

books. He had a guru and got realized when he was in his late 30s and

he sold beedies (cigarettes) for a living..when he retired people

began to go for His darshan and ask questions about how they

themselves cound get enlightnened...i've been reading about the lives

of Gurus and Saints for about 30 years, and nisargattada is very

unusual to me..one uniques quality is that he didn't see the physical

plane like we do,,,i don't think he was blind, he really saw

differently from most humans...

do you consider yourself a depressed person,,,is that your picture on

your opening page,,,how did you get here to a nisargaddat group..the

only person i know who was into goth just killed himself last

summer...i don't think that particular cult is a good one...my 27

year old daughter is a bit into wicca, i try and discourage her but i

think it's a bit lighter then goth...

don't mind me, i'm really just thinking of your welfare...and i'm an

old lady like skippy over there said,,smiles...

I belonged to the same club and the

statement ad discussion was about;

that Nisragadtta had no 'physical

plane' sense: no sense of his body.

There is no such thing as good or bad, right or wrong.... all is, as it is.

Goth is just another expression of the divine.

MoonSorrow, that is one cool web site you have there! I love all that

imagy.

This medium is great for not being able to judge another, on color, race,

sex, and age. I think it curious that you seem to want to make those

assumptions up front or ask for that info. What's the dif?

It gives the appearance that you would like to condecend to people because

of various factors.

devi: your welcome, are you fairly young?

maybe you can explain something to me about wicca? whats the

equivalent to *becoming enlightened* and do you realize that the

character you've created is an illusion? and that behind it is your

real being?

heres a quote of nisargaddatta:

You have met many anchorites and astecs, but a fully realized man

*conscious* of his *divinity* (swarupa) is hard to find. The saints

and Yogis, by immense efforts and sacrifices, acquire may miraculous

powers and can do much good in the way of helping people and

inspiring faith, yet it does not make them *perfect*. It isnot a way

to reality, but merely an enrichment of the false. All effort leads

to more effort: whatever can be lost is not really one's own; and

what is not your won of what use can it be to you? In my world nothis

is pushed about, all happens by itself. All existence is in space and

time, limited and tempory. I am not concerned either with " what

exists " or with " who exists " . i take my stand beyond, where i am both

and neither.

The persons who, after much effort and penance, have fullfilled their

ambitions and secured higher levels of experience and action, are

usually acutely conscious of their standng, they grad people into

heirarchies, ranging from the lowest non-acheiver to the highest

acheiver. To me all are equal. Differences is apparance and

expression are there, but they do not matter. Just as the shape of a

gold ornament does not affect the gold, so does man's essence remain

unaffected. Where this sence of eqyality is lacking it means that

reality had not been touched. Mere knowledge is not enough; the

knowerr must be known. The Pandits and the Yogis may know many

things, but of what use is mere knowledge when the self is not known.

It will be certainly misused. Without the knowledge of the knower

there can be no peace.

question: how does one come to know the knower?

nisargadatta:I can only tell you what i know from my own experience.

When i et my Guru, he told me " You are not what you take yourself to

be. Find out what you are. Watch the sese " I Am " , find your real

self " I obeyed him, becasue i trusted him. I did as he told me. All

my spare time i would spend looking at myself in silence. And what a

difference it made, and how soon! It took me only three years to

realize my true nature. My Guru died soon after i met him, but it

made no difference. I remembered what he told me anf persevered. The

fruit of it is here, with me.

question: what is it?

nisargadatta: i know myself as i am in reality. I am neither the

body, nor the mindm nor the mental faculities. I am beyond all these.

question: Are you just nothing?

nisargadatta: Come on, be reasonable. of course i am, most tangibley.

Only i am not what you think me to be..This tells you all.

i don't have to.. cause you'll not understand what means wicca on me.. and also you cannot interrogate me like this... i think this conduct is not RELATED WiTH WiCCA?

maybe i can say some sentences.. you're right, i'm 19 years old.. but everyone was 19 years old, is this true? i'm a lover of nature since i was born but i couldn't define who i am and what's my religion.. two years ago, i'd been met wicca and paganism.. i learn about wicca, you can ask me questions if you're not satisfied.. i'm not a wiccan for saying "i'm a wiccan!", it's my nature..

and i live in Turkey which was a shaman land in ancient times.. and i was initiated for cure art, Reiki 1 and 2, which is closely related with "light"..

thats enough i think...
