Nobody else can see their face. So who sees all the faces? " You are the one knower of everything. Therefore you are the liberated soul. The problem with these blanket statements from Douglas Harding and others are that they can be misleading and and more than likely the cause of acute Narcissism and spiritual pathology -You are the center of the world and so on- ....and all this crap. In fact what is usually published as 'spiritual practise','Spiritual wisdom' are really methods of unconsciousness, therapeutic pallitives, tranquillizers or sedatives that puts us to sleep and provides temporary and symtomatic relief of the pain of separation of the 'I-sense'. What I'm trying to say are that all these strategies : psychological, religious, yogic, mystical, spiritual and otherwise are simply methods or prescriptions of fogetfulness of our fundamantal error(which is a mistaken self-image or self-identification),our root cause of suffering which propels all our secondary activities, a desire to heal this wound, a restless seeking for a solution, but which ultimately never works! (the real cause of the problem - the 'I'- cannot get rid of itself using such methodologies.) ~dave _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
