To " begin from where one is not " is dreaming or " seeking. " It's only possible to 'be right here' as far as wherever that may be -- and 'where you are' is precisely 'where you should be'. To 'be' anywhere else is a dream. Too many seem to get lost in goals and ideals... it's a common mistake on the 'spiritual path' -- one which I've fallen prey to myself from time to time, especially 'early on'.
