Guest guest
Maitreya Ishwara Maitreya Meditation Centre 760-788 Wakamarina Rd Havelock 7154 Marlborough New Zealand http://www.ishwara.com Beloved Friends, Being and Becoming The essence of transformative spirituality is to be fully present to the un= folding mystery of Now. The tendency of the mind to wander in dreams of the = future and memories of the past is neutralized by the discipline of consciou= sly bringing your attention back to the immediacy of Now. Your intention to = live each moment as consciously as possible is a commitment to Being, rather= than to the dreams and desires of mental becoming. You understand that both= spiritual growth and real life are possible only in each consciously lived = moment of Now. This commitment to Being, however, occurs within the context of the inescap= able evolutionary process of becoming. All life is in a constant state of fl= ux. The universe had a beginning and continues to expand at the speed of lig= ht. Sometime in the distant future, the universe will reach the limit of its= expansion and will begin to contract at the speed of light until it disappe= ars back into the eternal void of consciousness that is called God, the beyo= nd. The constant state of all life is change or becoming. Understanding the dialectical dance of Being and becoming is important for = seekers of truth. We have minds that are capable of future projections, desi= res and fantasies. It is this mental state of becoming that robs us of real = life and perpetuates the ego/mind's illusory sense of individual doership. W= hen the mind has learned to rest in Being and all dreams and mental projecti= ons of becoming have dissolved, enlightenment occurs. Now you live conscious= ly and naturally in the cosmic flow of Being. Although the mental state of becoming has evaporated with the ego, the body= -mind-soul is still an organic part of existence and continues to evolve acc= ording to its predestined blueprint. Life is constantly in a state of flux, = and the evolutionary process of becoming reflects this fundamental truth. Af= ter enlightenment, your mind is silent, luminous and free from the mental di= sturbance of becoming. Yet even as you rest in Being, evolution still contin= ues its inexorable odyssey of becoming. I recommend that seekers leave the evolutionary process of becoming in the = hands of the Whole. After all, the power and intelligence that creates the u= niverse also knows how to manage your future. Your ego/mind does not need to= be involved with becoming. Stay focused on persuading your mind to return a= gain and again to fully experience Being herenow. This renunciation of menta= l becoming is vital for spiritual growth, but it does not impede the evoluti= onary shifts that are the manifestation of life's constant state of change o= r becoming. To enjoy real life and to grow quickly in consciousness, all tha= t is required is to stay focused on Being and to leave evolution and becomin= g to God. Relax. Trust in God. She knows what She's doing.
