It seems that we can try so hard to be profound that we miss the obvious, like the lady described by Peter De Vries, who " was so good at seeing through people she often missed what was inside them " . You know, Jan, there are snuff movies and most people don't really enjoy them all that much. Most prefer fictional excitement. If this is God's movie, it's snuff, not fiction. As long as you want to adopt the starting point that all that exists is God's dream, then please notice that God is more powerful than we are. In our dreams, people don't suffer; in His " dream " people do. Although the fatuous cosmic speculation that too often passes as mysticism among some members of Realization is generally a harmless hobby that would be boorish for me to criticize too sharply, at a certain point it becomes pathetic, since it would distract us from a real involvement with real human suffering that true enlightenment calls us to.
