 Madhwa’s Teachings.

Young Maadhwa’s 3 day shibir at the Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha from 1st to 3rd January, 2010.

   22-12-09.

Dear Reader,

Young Maadhwa, the Youth Wing of the Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha was established, this year, with the blessings of His Holiness Shri. Satyatma Teertha Swamiji, Uttaradi Math with a view to helping youngsters to know their identity following the time-tested methods prescribed in holy scriptures and the resultant development of a personality and positive approach to life that would also help the society at large. The idea was mooted by Vidwan Vidyasimhacharya, Kulapati, Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha, who, working relentlessly in the direction, has, during almost four decades, groomed hundreds of disciples and shaped the lives of a vast number of others.

The Vidwan envisages the future India as a scientifically advanced, self reliant and morally strong nation managed by men of extraordinary character. He also considers youth as the brains and sinews, the future pillars of strength that the country will have to rely on for its sustainable growth, and to prepare and strengthen their minds to shoulder the responsibilities the country has in its store for them in the years to come, he decided to introduce them to a way of life, that would not only help them build a strong character and lead a purposeful life, but would also pave the way for self realisation. His Holiness was highly pleased with the proposal, when it was put up to him for approval, for it reflected his own thinking. He immediately gave his consent and blessed it. Thus was born Young Maadhwa.

The announcement of Young Maadhwa evoked overwhelming response from youth. Hundreds of youngsters took Vaishnava Deeksha from the Swamiji during his chaturmasya at Mumbai, this year. They also pledged distance from bad habits and assured performance of sandhya vadana, every day. A large number of them actively participated in quiz contest, elocution competition and debates, which were organized by Pandit Vishwaprajnyacharya, the representative of youth. A good number of youngsters went on a pilgrimage to Malakhed, the young pandit had subsequently arranged.

Thus encouraged, Young Maadhwa has organized a three-day residential shibir at the Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha from 01-01-2010 to 03-01-2010 to consider expansion of its activities. It will be a shibir from morn to dusk and will have discourses, lectures, group discussions and debates under the able guidance of Vidwan Vidyasimhacharya and other scholars. In addition, participants will be taught performance of sandhya vandana and pooja; they will also be taught some of the important shlokas. Participants are requested to bring their bedding, dhotar, uttariya and pancha.

For the uninitiated and those who are at cross roads and in any dilemma as regards the choice of future way of life, the shibir will provide an opportunity for a way, that would help them lead a meaningful life, and for the initiated, it will be an exercise in value addition; it will help every participant.

Madhwa’s Teachings appeals to all youngsters to attend the shibir. It also request parents to encourage their children to attend it.

With regards,

Ramachandra Tammannacharya Gutti.
