The following verse 33-34 from Ch1 of 'Yogavaasistha' compiled as 'The Esssence Of Yogavaasistha' by Sri Jnanananda Bharati speaks volumes on human behaviour.

'bhaaroavivekinaha sastram bhaaro jnam cha raginaha

asanthasya mano bhaaro bhaaroanatmavido vapuhu"

The scripture is a burden for one without discrimination;

knowledge is a burden for the passionate;

mind is a burden for one without peace

and the body is a burden for one who does not know the Self.

Dear Balagopal

This reminds me of another side of our own behaviour.

When we have some "load" in hour hand or on our "head", climbing up few steps is so tiresomeness, that after climbing 20 or 30 steps we almost gasp for breath. If there are no loads, then the same steps are easy to climb. So, cutting off the "desires" and "Bandham" or "bandhanangaL" one can be free and spiritual climbing up or at-least the path for that will be easier.

"Mind" is not a burden, but controlling the "mind" is the biggest struggle we all are facing and so let us "control" our own mind.

Body is a burden, but if we follow "kshethrekshethre" kuru "Dharma" then the body too will become "light" or "weightless"

Very true Menonji. This may be the reason why in most 'satsanghs' there are more gray hairs than black. While in black 'passion' overules 'knowledge' and 'scriptures' as a 'burden', hence avoided. The irony is by the time its essentialness is recognised there isn't time left !!

Imagine 'gita' being delivered at the fag end of Arjuna's life!!
