Thanks for attaching such a rare photo. Now sabarimala is just like a township in the name of making facilities to the devotees. Blessed are those souls who could pray Swamy Ayyappan in that Serene

Atmosphere!

My pranams to Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma who had taken this marvelous

picture. In obeisance to his

benevolence I am attaching herewith the same picture with a more legible

caption (in Malayalam).

My thanks are also to Malayala Manorama the original publishers of this picture

as could be noticed from the picture.

My first two visits to Sabarimala were in

1953 and 1954. Even in those days we

could really worship the Kanana Vasan there.

During my fifth and last visit, 5 yrs back I was literally dragged up the gold

plated PathinettamPadi, though with care and consideration, not allowing to get

the satisfaction of ascending those STEPS!

And there after too, I was feeling a barrier between me and the original

granite temple - a barrier is a barrier even with gold. Then I consoled myself

- No barrier is a barrier for HIM. HE is everywhere, so will be there in

the present gold plated complex as well! And my heart-felt thanks to
