Guest guest Report post Posted May 4, 2005 Hari Om, Bhagavan Shree Krishnan , the eternal one, has given us his song the GITA which also will be eternal . As Sri Raman noted it wil be interesting to dwell upon the slokas and find out the deeper meaning in those heavily loaded slokas. One reason why it flies above our head is because it is poetry. Understanding poetic language requires guidance. Those of you who have any access to Sanskrit scholars will be able to give us more insights. As Swami Chinmayanda in his book on Gita says that the 'Gita' is all about your Dharma. The Gita begins with Dharma (Dharmakshetrey...) and ends with 'Mama' (....neethirmatirMAMA). That is-'Mama Dharma'- 'My Duty' . The word 'dharma' itself is to be undestood properly. As Shree Ganapathy Raman suggessted one can carry the 'Gita' discussion alongwith our other inputs. This itself can add a lot of colour and life to the group's chat.
