Hare Krishna.

Dear Bhaagavathaas,

Namaskaram / Good Wishes.

Our love to all people - relatives, friends and any other - should be much the same and we pray Our Lord to Bestow us with this quality at all times.

The essence of Srimad Bhagavad Geetha is expressed in several ways by Great Men. One that appeals to many people and practically useful, is Sloka 13 of Chapter 12 :

AdvEshta SarvabhoothAnAm Mythrah Karuna Eva Cha |

Nirmamo NirahankArah Sama Dhukah Sukha Kshamee ||

meaning :

' No ill feeling towards any Being , Good relationship with and kindness towards ALL (Even towards those who have ill will towards us) . Without the attributes of " Mine " & "I" and treating Happiness & Unhappiness equally and always exhibiting patience under all circumstances '

KRISHNA says such a being is very dear to Him.

It is our duty to keep on trying to develop these qualities which have been declared as qualifying traits to earn the Blessings of Our Lord. It is very difficult but great achievements are possible only thro difficult means. Never mind if we fail on many occasions, as it is a never ending process. That we are trying to be dear to Lord itself is a matter of great joy.

With Regards & Good Wishes,

Kombur Vankeepuram Madhavan
