Guest guest
Dear Folks, Murugan Saranam! It was an happy moment y'day (11-01-04), we have a wonderful 18th year Thirupugazh Thirupadi Vizha at Kundraththur. The vizha started at 8 am sharply, presided by " Thirupugahz " Mani sir. Started with the " Ganapathi Sthuthi " and went on with the songs of Arupadai temples of thirupugazh for each step. The procession reached the temple when the " Kandar Anubuthi " was sung. The Vel, Mayil and Seval Viruththam were sung finally and came to an end with the Managala Harathi. The " Palani Temple " Vaidhyanathaswami alangaram was done for the murugan, which was an amazing dharshan for every devotee. At the end of the Vizha, Mahaprasadham was distributed. There was a huge crowd for the vizha. Shri " Thirupugazh " Mani stated that the Thirupugazh vizha started with just 10 People initially and Lord Murugan has brought thousands of his devotees for this festival now. Vettrivel Muruganukku! Guest guest
Listening to Thirupugazh in itself would be a joyous moment. That too listening it from good musical voices in mass bhakti is a blessing. Someday I will make it there. BTW does it take place 11th of Jan every year? Thanks for posting the details. Thaipoosam is nearing and many go on pilgrimage by foot to Palani. We could look forward for lot of spiritual moments and display of vocal wonders through Murugan Bhakti Songs in this period during the patha yathirai. If anyone from our group is taking Kavadi from Karaikudi or near to Palani during this period, kindly let me know. We can try to meet.
