Guest guest
Namaste Narasimha Garu and members, Today i performed Tarpna at one family's house at their behest. In the midst of it, i was explaining the importance of this ritual on material as well as spiritual aspects of our life. after the conclusion, one of the members asked me a very relevent question. He asked me that the People whom we have strongly disliked or Hated, The people who have behaved inimically towards us and and vice-a-versa, have very strong effects on our minds hence they also should be included in the list of Tarpana. i instantly felt the power behind his words and agreed immediately. what is your take? it seems to me a great idea to free ones mind from such clutches of disliking and hatred of past lives including the current one? Gods and rishis self-identify with the soul more than the mind, while pitris identify with the mind and its desires more than the soul. However, pitris too have souls and gods/rishis too have minds, however subtle they may be. Homam works at the soul level and tarpana at the mind level. > > It is a useful do tarpana to minds that have an effect on your mind. > > Best regards, > Narasimha > > Do a Short Homam Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/homam > Do Pitri Tarpanas Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/tarpana > Spirituality: > Free Jyotish lessons (MP3): http://vedicastro.home.comcast.net > Free Jyotish software (Windows): http://www.VedicAstrologer.org > Sri Jagannath Centre (SJC) website: http://www.SriJagannath.org > > > > Dear Narsimha: > > > > How are you doing?
