Guest guest
Narasimha garu, Is it okay to close the homakundam once the fire goes off, to avoid the smoke spreading in the house? I know the smoke is very good for health but I live in an apartment in USA and my American neighbor complained a couple of times on the burning smell, even after I used just a little ghee as ahuti. Regards, Lakshmi
Guest guest
Namaste Smt Lakshmi, Yes, you can cover the homa kundam, once the fire goes off. If your neighbors know you perform the ritual, they are bound to make some noise. The smell from the ghee burning is much much milder than their barbeque sessions!! So, just ignore them. Use incense sticks liberally, which helps in spreading the pleasant smell. I sprinkly sambrani powder on the embers in the kundam. You can also use the pleasant smelling jawar, which have an awesome aroma, and serves as a room freshener when sprinkled on the embers. Hope this helps Regards Narayan , " mahalakshmi_gorla " <mahalakshmi_gorla wrote: > > > Narasimha garu, > > Is it okay to close the homakundam once the fire goes off, > to avoid the smoke spreading in the house?
