Guest guest
Namaste friends, Thanks to the efforts of Ravi Poruri and Kishore Chitrapu, we now have Mahagnapathi homam manual and Shiva homam manual available with mantras written in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam scripts (in addition to Sanskrit and English scripts). The instructions and explanations continue to be in English, but the mantras are written in these languages for ease of reading. We have also made available a quick reference guide (or "cheat sheet") containing only mantras and no instructions. If you already read the manual and feel comfortable with the procedure and only want a printout of mantras to refer to, you can download it and use it. It is also available for Mahaganapathi homam and Shiva homam in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit and English scripts. Just go to the homam website below and go to Mahaganapathi homam or Shiva homam link to download these additions. Other homam manuals will also be available in this format soon. Ravi and Kishore are slowly working on one manual after another. Baraha software from baraha.com was used for Indian languages (big thanks to them!). They have Vedic swaras available only in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. If you want the manual in any other Indian language, please send a nice note requesting the friendly developers of baraha o add support for vedic swaras in that language. As they add this support in other languages, we will create more homam manuals. In the long run, I want manuals to be fully translated to various Indian languages, i.e. instructions and explanations also in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam etc. But that may take a long time. Guest guest
Namaste Narasimha and friends, I am now working on transliterating Maha Ganapathi Homam mantras in Tamil, similar to the work done in other languages. I am using Baraha Unicode software. Any way, I have to type completely, since Baraha is not supporting vedic swaras for Tamil language (Tamil language has its own limitations for subtle sounds) and I have to find suitable/ subtle ways to get the same word to get the same pronounciation. This document will be a quick reference guide (or " cheat sheet " ) containing only mantras and no instructions. I will send the same to Narasimha before end of the week so that he can publish it in his website. He can also add it to the main manual. Regards, Shankar , " Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
If you use Baraha 8.0 instead of Unicode version, the vedic swaras are supported. Guest guest
I had tried Baraha 8.0 and I could not find the support for vedic swaras. I would appreciate if you can advise more details how it can be done.
