question about homam

Hi,

 

What is the suggested place for doing homam? Inside the house or outside the

house? I mean, if the house has a back yard can the homam be done there? What

are the dos and dont's while selecting the place to do homam? Any considerations

about the directions, sitting etc?

Hi,

 

Outside in Open space is better for doing Homam. Backyard would be one of the

idle place instead of inside House.

 

sitting direction: Facing Eastern Direction and Havan Kundam should be in front

of you.

 

Important DONT - Do not eat 2 to 4 hours prior to Homam. stomach should be

empty.

Namaste Jagmohanji,

 

Either place is fine as long as you keep it clean. Backyard is fine too. The

main considerations should be 1. Cleanliness & 2. It should enable you to do it

regularly. Regarding directions, facing East or North should be fine.
