Guest guest
Hello PVR gaaru: I have couple of dumb questions; please don't laugh get a chance can you please clarify the same for me, hope I'm not misusing the group with my silly questions: 1. Will there be any effect of playing Audio Mantras read/rendered by experts? (as layman like me, who do not know how to pronounce the Sanskrit mantras correctly, is it OK to take help of the CD's or Audio MP3 mantras available?). 2. You have provided Audio and Video of Ganapathi Homam, will there be the same effect if one plays and mimic (imitating the actions without any self voice and your original voice in place)? 3. If the answers to the above is `Yes', who will get benefitted (I mean will I get benefited or the originators who rendered the mantras or performed Homam?) Thanks, CVRKumar
Guest guest
Reposting again as I did not hearback any reply from anyone who are readers and members into this spiritual or/and Vedic wisdom group. This is not my question alone, this was in thought process for many of us, and I'm the one who voiced it out, just curious to know from spiritual angle. , " Venkat Chavakula " <cvrkumar wrote: > > Hello PVR gaaru: > > I have couple of dumb questions; please don't laugh get a chance can > you please clarify the same for me, hope I'm not misusing the group > with my silly questions: > > 1. Guest guest
Namaste Venkat garu, This IS the purpose of the group and not at all a misuse. (1) It is perfectly ok. In fact, even if the original expert recorded it mechanically and without much devotion, you will still get good punya from it if you listen to it with focus and devotion. The purpose of mantra is to control the mind and its thoughts and tap some spiritual energy that the mind has access to but does not get because of its various pre-occupations. If you hear something with focus, it still helps in controlling the mind, tapping some spiritual energy. It is still beneficial. However, as you become comfortable with it, try to chant it yourself at some stage. That is a little better. (2) Yes. As you hear, a part of your mind is repeating that sound while you do the actions. It will still be beneficial. In fact, I know that some people who are now doing homam quite well started out in that manner! (3) You will benefit mainly. But various people who enabled you will also get some small portions of it. But most of the benefit for this specific action is yours. Guest guest
Sri Narasimha Garu, Namaskaram. I have one another question to this list, kindly clarify; Typically, i travel 1.5 hrs each side from my home to office, so i generally prefer to listen to Rudra Namakam chamakam, vishnu sahsasranamam etc during this travel time. Manay times, since i reach my destination i had to cut short the playing audio in my car, i'm not sure if that is a good practise or not, or do i have to necessarily complete the entire audio thing? Thanks Krishna Kanth , Narasimha PVR Rao <pvr wrote: > > Namaste Venkat garu, > > This IS the purpose of the group and not at all a misuse. > > (1) It is perfectly ok. Guest guest
Namaste Krishna Kanthji, If you are feeling a kind of reluctance/Uneasiness within while switching off the Audio, i've one quick suggestion. As your travel time is fixed, you can match the duration of say VishnuSahastranaam Stotra with your traveling time. For example if VSNS takes around 1 hour, then start is approximately at the time during travel when an hour is left to reach the destination. If still not finished due to some wrong time calculations, then sit for some time in you car and hear the stotra completely . We can surely do that if we really like listening to that. But that will be too much for asking. People like you need to be congratulated who listen to Rudram and Sahastranam instead of listening to all the other stuff. You surely know what I recommended. Kindly bear with me. Guest guest
Namaste, I have encountered the same uneasiness when switching off the audio too! I listen to audio paaths and stotras whenever I get the chance..lunch-breaks, while travelling sometimes even when cooking..and if anything happens to crop up before the end of the audio, I press on 'pause' but I try to continue the chanting in my mind sub-consciously and then I resume the audio when I get to be free again. I hope that's okay. , " utpal pathak " <vedic_pathak wrote: > > Namaste Krishna Kanthji, > > If you are feeling a kind of reluctance/Uneasiness within while switching off the Audio, i've one quick suggestion. > > As your travel time is fixed, you can match the duration of say VishnuSahastranaam Stotra with your traveling time.
