Dear Sir,

After reading this mail on Bhartuhari, I would like to write one experience narrated by an old man to me before 20 years. This happened while his Parikrama of River Narmada. While walking at night near Narmada river he met with one tall man of 10 feet height with long hair. He introduced himself as Ashwasthama and he talked with that learned gentleman who was pious by heart. They both talked in Sanskrit only. Ashwasthama first told him that I am Ashwasthama of Mahabharat. I am suffering constant pain from my forehead Scar which is never to be cured as Lord Krishna has cursed me. Please give me some curd or butter. (Dehi me kinchit Dadhi va Navanitam).

This is a fact and not immaginory story as the person who told me his experience was 70 years old at that time and he was a noble and purehearted person

Namaste,

It is probably the same person. Manish also told me that he met an old person who met Aswaththama on the bank of Narmada, after which he became very spiritual.

Pujya Ashwinji,I fully support your narration.I have read newspaper column accounts and heard from elders about Sri Sri Ashwatthaamaa roaming in forests spread on River Narmadaji's(or Revaji as called by many people ) flow path. As you have mentioned several pious beings have encountered Sri Sri Ashwatthaamaa in the month of Shraawana in monsoon. The description I have heard about him is a very very tall man with impressive beard and exuding so much of Teja that ordinary mortals can not look at the face. Many elders who do " Reva parikramaa" have seen him from some distance.Occassional mention of Bhagwaan Parashuraama being sighted in this region of BHARUCH & RAJPIPALA districts are there.Incidentally, BHARUCH name is the corrupted from the Sanskrit Bhrugu Kachha and these area is regarded as Rishi Bhumi and known Tapovana of divine eminences like

Maharshi Bhrugu,Jamadagni,Mahavidushi Anusuyaaji and Parashuraama is spread in 100 Kilometers radius with Bharuch as the centre point. No wonder that even Saints like KABIRJI have tread this region for seeking spiritual enhancement. There are many folk-lores surrounding this reagion but I am stopping here.2]To honour your call for a brief introduction :Amit Yagneshkumar Trivedi is a mortal seeker holding Masters in Chemistry,Management and Mass Communications with a Ph.D.in Medicinal Chemistry.Professionally involved in Research & Development of Drugs and Pharmaceuticals since 21 years. I am trying to study astrology since student days and have settled in Thane -Mumbai area.Spiritually inclined to know something about Mahaadevaji and Shiva Panchaayata.Very honestly I am a rank beginner and have just understood from this forum the importance of dissolving ego.Humble regards, amit

Yes, the ashram name is Nareshwar. It is one of those ashrams that is still away from money and power games. Shri Rang Avadhoot Maharaj worshipped Lord Datta. He wrote "Dattabawani". Another interesting fact is that this is "Amrut Mahotsav" year(75 years) of Dattabawani creation and many many "Avadhoot parivars" around the world are reciting Dattabawani to reach a certain number. I believe Mumbai parivar is going to do 75 lakhs. In New Jersey, Chicago and Toronto avdhoot parivars are also very active and doing their part. I am Chicago area and very fortunate to get blessings from "Shri Prem Avadhoot Maharaj" who is shishya of Rang Avhoot and visits us in summer. Namaste

Interesting information about the region, in recent years there was a

great Saint by name of Ranga Avadhoot Maharaj who settled on the

river banks of Narmada near Bharuch.

encountered Sri Sri Ashwatthaamaa in the month of Shraawana in

monsoon. The description I have heard about him is a very very tall

man with impressive beard and exuding so much of Teja that ordinary

mortals can not look at the face. Many elders who do " Reva

Bhagwaan Parashuraama being sighted in this region of BHARUCH &

RAJPIPALA districts are there.Incidentally, BHARUCH name is the

this region for seeking spiritual enhancement. There are many folk-

lores surrounding this reagion but I am stopping here.

experience narrated by an old man to me before 20 years. This

happened while his Parikrama of River Narmada. While walking at night

near Narmada river he met with one tall man of 10 feet height with

long hair. He introduced himself as Ashwasthama and he talked with

that learned gentleman who was pious by heart. They both talked in

Sanskrit only. Ashwasthama first told him that I am Ashwasthama of

Mahabharat. I am suffering constant pain from my forehead Scar which

is never to be cured as Lord Krishna has cursed me. Please give me

some curd or butter. (Dehi me kinchit Dadhi va Navanitam).
