Guest guest
Namaste I would like to add more, there are some Vaastu rules and some of them may be followed, I am not very aware of them. In my opinion any place is good when the intentions are good. clean the place and go from there. What I know is as follows: Please start pooja with some basic mantras 1) Asana Shudhi 2) Sprinkle water on the both body and surrounding and there is mantra for that and than do 3 achamans. 3) Bhut Shudi there is mantra starting with " Arpa ..... This is a small mantra and it does work very well 4) Do some pranayams atleast 1 or 3 with a mantra of choice Pray to Ganapati, your Guru and other gods and goddeses of your choice. 5) Always do a sankalpa of what you are doing, this is very important if say doing 3 malas, do a sankalpa or say sitting in meditation, say I will try to mediate for 30 mintues whatever. This sankalpa doing and then following the sankalpa is most important This brings lots positive changes in a sadhak. 6) Dhoop of Guglu is the best for cleansing any environment We get it here in US too. This cleans up the place nicely 7) Use a clean asana of wool prefrebly. As wool is a good conductor of energy. Before you start request Lord Ganapati that there are no obstacles or request him to remove the obstacles. Keep the place clean, wash yourself the pooja items like the divi etc. When you do these things than automatically the place where you do pooja cleans up in a few days and good vibrations start to exist in the place. Most of the books have a similar process, please pick that. Best Regards Mitesh

How ever, having it in other directions may be more beneficial. Having puja room in North East/East is good. Guest guest
Namaste, Not all " clean places " are equal. Vibrations do vary from place to place. The vibrations of the place do not matter to some, but do matter to many. Places with taamasic vibrations are not necessarily bad for sadhana for everyone. When one is pure and succeeds in sadhana at such places, one can make faster progress. A smashaana (cemetary) has decidedly stronger tamasik vibrations than basements completely under ground. But several great yogis in some traditions did sadhana in smashana and realized self. Nevertheless it is not conducive to fruitful sadhana by most people. An average person is better off doing sadhana in places without such vibrations, atleast initially. So I do not recommend doing spiritual sadhana in underground basements. There will be exceptions, but this is a safe and prudent position to take. Guest guest
Namaste Agreed all clean places are not equal, however there is no awareness in general to find and ascertain the equality or inequiality of any place. Our awareness is at having a clean place physically. Good Vibrations are always good and bad Vibrations are not good. Even Bad vibrations turn into good vibrations in a short period of time if one sincerely meditates in a place and does some doop of guglu etc to start with. Also we are doing all these to be a better person, and based on ones sanchit sanskars one may encounter a place with some bad vibrations but that has to clear up as soon as those sanskars have done delivered that part, honestly this bad vibrations can happen anywhere in the most optimum pooja location too. However in general 99.99% cannot distinguish or feel vibrations. We cannot and should not scare people like this. What is most important is that as one meditates or does pooja in the same place, it starts to create good vibrations and the place becomes a better place. How can you relate tamasic vibartions to a basement? This basis is without any merit what so ever. Without a solid basis I find this as more " quakish " . Probability wise a basement has the same probability to have bad vibration as any other place on this earth or take for instance a bed room or a living room. Generally basements are quite and less disturbance and so are considered good. Narasimha on this one I respectfully disagree with you unless you provide very compelling explaination and also you can refer some document. There is a saying " a dancer does not know how to dance blames on the floor being crooked " . The surrounding is an excuse, if one does pooja sincerely from heart with noble expectations than one overcomes all impediments, what is there in bad vibrations or a tamasic place, both of them will run away.
