Guest guest
Dear Narasimhaji I know this is not a forum to discuss astrology but if you would be so kind as to answer just one question regarding astrology and homa. I was reading somewhere that the fire of a homa is represented by Jupiter among planets. So in case someone has a very badly placed jupiter which badhakesh or much afflicted, is it adviseable for such a person to perform homa? Or will it lead to great dangers? -Regards Aparajita

Guest guest
Namaste Aparajita & others, If one is performing Homas for spiritual advancement and not for any material benefits, then why worry? let Guru be bad or worst. let all the Nine planets are so placed as to discourage one from doing Homas, if one leaves everything to Hari and marches on, " Graha bichare kya karenege? " Best Regards, Utpal , rajarshi nandy <rajarshi14 wrote: > > Dear Aparajita > Â > I have an afflicted jupiter but yet I try to do homas to the best of my ability. But I don't know about badhakesh. Guest guest
Namaste, There is no truth in what you heard. Not only that, but you can do homam to a very very badly placed and afflicted planet in your chart also. There is no problem with it. In fact, Maharshi Parasara suggests doing homam with the mantra of the planet that is badly afflicted in a chart, for relief. See the chapter on " graha shanti " in " Brihat Paaraasara Horaa Saastram " . Anybody can do homa to any planet or any deity, irrespective of the horoscope. Jupiter is badhakesha in my chart and he is in an inimical house. I have been doing a homam daily for 2.5 years.
