Guest guest
Namaste Dear all I would like to create a list of highly realized saints in India and other parts of the world who are alive today and are guiding aspirants. This list should also include saints from sufism and other religions We have a good history and books to refer too but we donot have a list of top 50 or so of living saints. So I request you all to contribute if you know and are impressed with them. This would be a good thing to have so that many of us can seek darshan and also seek guidance in future. The idea here is about quality and not so much about quantity meaning very reputed saints with thousands of disciple are already wellknown, I would not mind having them in the list but more important is realized saints who have chosen to remain hidden or have shun publicity. To Start of I shall start with a very realized saint shri Ganapathy Sacchianand Swamiji of Mysore, a living Datta Avatar. He is the miracle man. I have had his darshan in US a few times. Once while I was on a pilgrimage to Pushkar about 8 years ago, I did visit a saint known as bengali baba, a very realzied saint in his 90s. He is still alive and has built a very unique hanuman temple in Pushkar Rajasthan. It was a very interesting meeting. He spoke bengali only and I spoke hindi. He spoke for an hour. he understood all of what I said and asked and answered very sincerely in bengali in a very passionate way, however I could only understand 10% when the translator was able to keep up with him. My idea here is to find great saints in India who are also not wellknown as they may have chosen not to publize themselves too. I thought about this because while growing up, I missed a lot of oppurtunities to meet and seek darshan of many well known saints that I am finding out now about their greatness. I feel like I missed many boats and still remain on the same shore and waiting to cross the ocean. Hope to get this list going Best Regards Mitesh
Guest guest
Dear Mitesh ji, http://www.saimastersevatrust.org/livingsaints.html Please check about these 2 saints. If you know telugu language there are books on them. They both shuuned the publicity. Krishanaih Swamy stays at proddutur. It appears to me that he doesn't care even slightly about his body. Guest guest
Dear Kumar Thanks for a prompt response, this web site looks interesting and from the looks both saints look very spiritual, one looks little bit like bhagwan nityananda of ganeshpuri. Please no need to use ji or anything, we are all in our journey to unite with god. Guest guest
Dear Prasad, Thanks for the link. I just checked the web site. Did you attend any of the Programs? I want to know about Shunya meditation. Is it similar to the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi or Sri Nisargadatta maharaj? Thanks and Regards, Kumar Ghanta , " vvootla " <vvootla wrote: > > Namaste: > > May I suggest Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev <http://www.sadhguru.org/> of > Isha Foundation <http://www.ishafoundation.org/> to this list of yours > > Regards, > -Prasad > > > , " m540i98 " <m540i98@> wrote: > > > > Namaste > > > > Dear all > > > > I would like to create a list of highly realized saints in India and > > other parts of the world who are alive today and are guiding > > aspirants. Guest guest
||| aum namo bhagavatE vAsudEvAya |||Namaste Kumar ji, At Isha yOga, there are never any teachings, morals or philosophies taught. In fact, any academic or scholarly pursuit of subjects related to Spirituality, Enlightenment or Realization is softly discouraged. The initiations are based on the ancient and eternal kriya yOga traditions originally taught by the Adi yOgi, Shiva himself and subsequently revealed to many yOgis viz. Agastya, Krishna, Patanjali and now Sadhguru himself. The basic initiation is either a) shAmbhavi mahA mudra (Inner Engineering Program) or b) shakti chalana kriya & shoonya meditation (Wholeness Program ). There are no preset conditions or goals for initiations and subsequent sAdhana. The idea is to stick to the kriyas and emphasis laid on observing one's own experiences and Inner Transformation . As mentioned in the website, shoonya is an initiation into the pragna (awareness) path of yOga. Hope that helps and if you have any more questions do email me.Regards,-Prasad , "kumar_gh_2000" <kumar_gh_2000 wrote:>> Dear Prasad,> Thanks for the link. I just checked the web site.
