Guest guest
Om Brihaspataye Namah Namaste dear Narasimhaji and other enlightened members, I have come across some interesting information about Harish Johari, being an enlightened soul. I have been reading his " Leela " book based on the Gyan Chaupad and it is very interesting and it resonates with my personal beliefs (that the ultimate goal of life is to reach Vaikuntha Loka and serve the Lord) However, I have read some reviews about his book, " Tools for Tantra " with some people saying it is a dangerous book to read. I am now feeling anxious because I wanted to read it, but now I am scared that maybe it is too esoteric to read. I have read other occult books before, but mostly by western authors on subjects such as summoning spirits etc- and nothing freaky or weird happened to me when reading those books. Any advice? Guest guest
Namaste Sir, Do I know you from before? If you do not mind, can I have your birthdata (date, time and place of birth)? You can send it privately to pvr. If your goal is reaching Vaikuntha loka and serving the Lord, just chant His name all the time when you are awake. Whether you are walking or talking or driving or typing or reading or writing or answering nature's calls, you can still silently chant His name in the mind. If you do this enough, your mind will start chanting his name when it is asleep too! Your goal should be to repeat a (any) name of the Lord all the time, so that taking that name becomes the second nature to your mind! Other things are not as useful as getting addicted to a name of the Lord. Guest guest
Dear Narasimha,Could you please elaborate on this statement." Whether you are walking or talking or driving or typing or reading or writing or answering nature's calls, you can still silently chant His name in the mind.I once had a discussion with our priest. We had gone to a temple where they had the intercom connection in the restrooms, so that people could listen if there was some announcement going on (as well as any prayers/bhajans). The priest felt that this was very inappropriate and that we should not be listening to any prayers in the restroom (let alone chant anything silently or otherwise). Thanks.warm regards,ChandraprakashNarasimha P.V.R. Rao <pvr Sent: Sunday, October 12, 2008 1:04:17 AM Re: Harish Johari's books Namaste Sir, Do I know you from before? Guest guest
SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAMAUM GURUBYO NAMAHDear Shri Narasimha,Namaste. May i write a few lines? Most of the times the following enlisted activities viz., walking or talking or driving or typing or reading or writing or answering nature's calls, take place in a semi-conscious state/mechanically.Utterance of the Nama/name of the Lord should take place in a fully conscious state. In other words highest value should be given to the utterance of the 'nama' as both the 'nama' and the lord are one and the same/inseparable. The person is not indeed aware about the other activities enlisted above when he is in the 'nama-yamuna'!!/nama-vrindavana!!/nama-sagara!!.The goal therefore should be to transcend from the state of mechanicalness to that of consciousness.HARE KRSNA HARE KRSNA KRSNA KRSNA HARE HAREHARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HAREBest wishes.May Mother Bless.Astrologically & spiritually yours,p.s.ramanarayanan.--- On Sun, 12/10/08, Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah! When I was active in DLS (Divine Life Society), I have heard and read that the name can be taken anytime. This is true when the soul is not interested in material success or to that mater even any form of knowledge. I think Guru Shivanand gave the example of toothache. Does one forget the toothache at any state? Why should one forget the names of god then? ......Swadhin , rama narayanan <sree88ganesha wrote: > > SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM > AUM GURUBYO NAMAH > > Dear Shri Narasimha, > > Namaste. May i write a few lines? > > Most of the times the following enlisted activities viz., walking or talking or > > driving or typing or reading or writing or answering nature's calls, take place in a semi-conscious state/mechanically. > > Utterance of the Nama/name of the Lord should take place in a fully conscious state. In other words highest value should be given to the utterance of the 'nama' as both the 'nama' and the lord are one and the same/inseparable.
