Guest guest
Namaste Dear Members, Wonderful greetings on the occasion of Dussehra, and may we all receive her divine grace to help us in progress of our sadhana. During these navaratris I got a chance to prepare Devi Shaptashati with Translation in PDF format and I completed the same yesterday and uploaded the file to the groups files area, most of this material is available on internet what all I have done is to get the sacred scripture at one place with Translation and Transliteration in a easily readable format. Please forgive for any mistakes and expecting suggestions for improvement. Link to the file: Smriti/DeviMahatyam.pdf Thanks and Regards, Hari Sarma. Guest guest
|om| Dear Hari, namaste This Hari (meaning me!) has been toying with such an idea for a long time. Simply superb work and may the glorious Devi bestow her grace on you for this work. I do not bother about mistakes as God alone knows how many mistakes I have been making! Surrender to Devi is more important. Now this is done and you can expand the work further by adding the pre-amble (Devi Kavacham, Argala stotra, Kilaka stotra, moola mantra, Ratri suktam) and post-amble (moola mantra, Devi suktam) as per Gita press, Gorakhpur for a complete parayana. best regards Hari On Thu, Oct 9, 2008 at 12:37 PM, Hari Sarma <hari.sarma wrote: Namaste Dear Members, Wonderful greetings on the occasion of Dussehra, and may we all receive her divine grace to help us in progress of our sadhana. Guest guest
Namaste Hari Bhai !!! Whatever for the benefit of others, especially for Spritual benefit is a devine work. accept my hearty congratulations and if i may suggest, once more go carefully thro' each word and try to correct the mistakes if any. This is the work done by Mother thro' you and you are the right person to improve it. give you an example: Furst Chapter - Dhyanam - Last Line (In devanagari Skript) - It Should be Madhu-KAITABHAM instead of Madhu- KAUTABHAM. I hope you take my suggetions with all the spirit. Thank you very much. Guest guest
Namaste Utpalji, Hariji, Naliniji, Thank you all a lot for the encouragement and appreciation shown, I am working on getting the pre-amble and post-amble as suggested by Hariji. Utpalji, Thank you for pointing out the mistake, I have checked it 3-4 times before uploading it, but yes I will check more times thoroughly to see if the mistakes can be reduced. My main reference was from http://sanskrit.safire.com/pdf/DURGA700.pdf and it shows the last word of dhyanam in first chapter as Madhum-kautabam (मधà¥à¤‚ कौटà¤à¤®à¥), but I verified the same today by listening on Raaga (http://www.raaga.com/getclip.asp?id=999999077103) and it is Madhum-kaitabham (मधà¥à¤‚ कैटà¤à¤®à¥) Thank you all, Hari Sarma. , "utpal pathak" <vedic_pathak wrote:>> Namaste Hari Bhai !!!> > Whatever for the benefit of others, especially for Spritual benefit > is a devine work. accept my hearty congratulations and if i may > suggest, once more go carefully thro' each word and try to correct > the mistakes if any. Guest guest
Namaste Hari, Please don't add JI for MEE :0 In my opinion, for Sanskrit Text(Devanagari), Durga-Saptashati by Geeta Press (Gorakhpur) is one of the best. you may think of refering that book. In that, even the 'Paathantars' are given at various places. I found it as a very reliable and available with Translation in mnay languages.
