Guest guest
Dear Jitendra Good question. Honestly speaking, "infinite conscinousness" is for all practical purposes what we call God. I don't think there is anyone here among us who can really make you or anyone else understand because undestanding is a faculty of the mind and "inflinte consciousness" is way beyond the mind. Only the greatest of men realize it in their heart of hearts. If we could understand and realize that, we would probbably not be here in this forum today. So its quite normal. -Regards Rajarshidahiyajiten <dahiyajiten wrote: Namaste to allNowadays i m reading yoga vasishtha transalated byswami venkateshananda (1 book edition) but i wanted to ask the members that i m not understanding it properly even after reading it again and againis this normal or i should read something before this to improve my understandingBefore this i have read Autobiography of yogi by Sh. paramhansa yoganandaone thing can somebody help me to understand what is the meaning of "infinite consciousnesss" , this term has been used repetitivelyregardsjitender "This above all: to thine own self be true!" - Hamlet From Chandigarh to Chennai - find friends all over India. Guest guest
Hi Jitender, In the past I have read Yoga Vasishtha (by Swami Venkatesananda) but wasnt able to sustain and complete. Not sure which version you are reading but there is abridged and full version. I started with the Full, but may be the abridged may have worked better - atleast because of the size. I still feel it is among the greatest spiritual works based on dialogue between Lord Rama and Sage Vasishta. Making a habit of reading some sections daily is a great way to keep yourself in the company of great knowledge. Keep it up.
