Namaste. Happy celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami on August 13, 2009, to

all!

A Vraja Rasik Saint in Madhurya Rasa of Gopi-bhava remembering the

Divine Beloved, tastefully recounting His sweet Divine form, virtues

and lilas of Divine Love:

'rasika rangeelo shyaam hamaaro....'

My (Our) Divine Beloved Shyama Sundar is the Crest Jewel of all

the Rasikas, the Connoiseurs of Love!

indra-neela-mani neela kalevara, lakhi laajata sata kaam,

hamaaro...

His beautiful, enchanting Divine body with brilliant, cool-blue

complexion puts to shame thousands of Cupids, the gods of worldly

beauty and charm combined together!

chalakata prema-sudhaa-rasa chitavani, mridu musukani abhiraam,

hamaaro...

What to speak of His seductive tender smile, His piercingly

sharp, handsome looks overflowing with blissful nectar of amorous

Love! He is simply captivating my mind and filling my heart with

Divine passion!

madhura, madhura dhuni venu bajaavata, mana bhaavata braja bhaam,

hamaaro...

On top of all this, when He plays sweetest Divine melodies on His

flute stealing my lifebreath, He is enticing not only my 'self',

but also all the souls of blessed Gopis, the maidens of Vraja!

kabahun sakhana sanga, kabahun sakhina sanga, viharata aathoyaam,

hamaaro...

My Dark Beloved always, twentyfour hours of the day, frolicking in

the sacred bowers of Vrindavana, sometimes enjoying the company of

His cowherd friends during the day and secret daliances with

love-lorn cowherdesses, His sweetheart Gopis at night!

lakhata 'kripaalu' shambhu-suka jhaanki, sri vrindavana dhaam,

hamaaro...

In the concluding verse, the Poet-Saint reminds the devotees the

transcendental nature of Lord Krishna by declaring that

these Divine pastimes of the amorous Deity of Vrindavana are

eagerly yearned after, visualized in the heart and meditated

upon even by the liberated sage like Sukadeva Paramahamsa and

Bhagavan Shankarji Himself.

Jaya Sri Radhe!

Sri Krishna Madhuri - Sweet Glories of Beloved Hari

Here is another translation of a melodious 'pada' from Sri Krishna Madhuri of

'Prema Rasa Madira'.

dharu nanda-nandan ko dhyAn re ...

The Rasik Saint is instructing the minds of Raganuga devotees to ever

contemplate upon the Divine Beloved, the darling Son of Nanda Maharaj.

O my mind! Please meditate upon the Nanda-nandana Krishna, the Soul

Beloved.

jAko dhyAn dharata nizi-vAsara, vidhi, hari, hara bhagavAn re...

Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Bhagavan Shankar joyfully contemplate

upon the same blissful Lord Sri Krishna day and night unceasingly!

mora mukuTa lakuTI lipaTI paTa, lajavati bhrukuTi kamAn re ...

How is His Divine form is visualized? The Saint gives the description

of his realization.

He has charming crown ornamented with peacock plume and

a golden cow-herding rod is present by His side draped in

dazzling siky yellow garments.

His handsome curvacious eye brows are defeating the beauty of

even a perfectly created bow!

cancala nayana dRgancala cancala, ancala-paTa phaharAn re ...

His restless lotus eyes are darting sidelong glances upon

the blessed souls and His elegantly flying Pitambar,

the lovely golden upper garment is as unteady as

His own flirtive looks!

gati mada matta gayanda lajAvani, manda manda musukAn re ....

With a tender bewitching smile upon His seductive lips,

He is walking gracefully putting shame to the maddened

young royal elephant!

viharata nita 'kRpAlu' vRndAvan, rati rasa catura sujAn re ...

In the concluding verse, the Rasik-poet says:

O my blessed mind! Please contemplate upon the Lord of amorous Love,

Connoisseur of Divine passions, Sri Krishna, expertly frolicking ever

in the sacred bowers of Vrindavan!

Jaya Sri Radhe!
