Qn: What is Aghora sadhana/tantra (asked by Arun on YA)

 

Ans: Aghora - tantra is the most secret ritualistic meditation technique to

enlightenment in the quickest possible way. Many of its secrets are known only

to aghoris and not to us... still i will share what ever I know.

 

The word Aghor itself has its roots in 10 Mahavidyas' secret.

 

The story starts from Third Mahavidya Shodashi (aka Tripura-Sundari. this

Mahavidya's Shiva is known as Panchvaktra Shiv

 

Panch-vaktra shiva is a shiva linga having five faces one in each direction and

one up. Different names of these shivas are :-

 

1- Tat purush

 

2- Sadyojaat

 

3- Vaam-dev

 

4- Aghor

 

5 - Ishaan

 

The fourth shiva facing south is called Aghor. He is a Rudra, the god of Death

and destruction.

 

Aghor-Tantra is actually worship of Shodashi as Shamshan Tara (2nd Mahavidya)

and shiva as Aghor(means not deep or not fearful)

 

Aghora-tantra is a left hand path of Tantra. Whereas most of sadhanas take

Sattva guna as basis, Aghora tantra takes Tamo-guna as God's real guna and

worship him in tamoguni ways...slowly taking sadhna to raj and finally to sat

and beyond all gunas

Aghoras do not always stay in Shamshan. Out of a total 13 years of penance, only

one year they have to worship in shamshan...and then finally their guru decides,

if they would go back to world, or continue as wandering aghori depending upon

their karma debts.

 

Aghor-Tantra is dangerous, as any miss may result in psychic imbalance or even

death. BUT the progress in the fastest way is assured.
