Guest guest
KUNDALINI, the mysterious power has been a subject of research for many centuries. There are various definitions of Kundalini. It is also said that It was Guru Matsyendra Nath (of Nath-Sect) who first got the tantra of Kundalini from Shiva and introduced human beings to kundalini. Now let us see what different explanations we can have abt kundalini :Dr. Rele has in his book " The mysterious Kundalini " written --…Kundalni is in fact Right Vagus Nerve because the description of Vagus and its connections with the important plexeses of the sympathetic runs parrallel with the description of Kundalini and her connection with Chakras " Mr. Avalon.Arthur in his book " The serpent power " has written Kundalini is the Static Shakti. It is the individual bodily representation of the great cosmic power(shakti) which creates and sustains the universe " Sir John W. stated " Shortly stated Energy polarises itself into two forms namely static or Potential and dynamic and it is called Kundalini " Swami Vivekananada writes " The centre where all resident sensations are, as it was stored up is called Muladhara chakra and the coiled up energy of action is kundalini, meaning the coiled up " Sant Gyaneshwar explained " Kundalini is like a serpent of Red-orange color and it is having 3 and half coils and sleeps in Muladhara by keeping its tail into mouth " Hathhyoga Pradeepika explains " …Kandodharva kundalinishakti supta miokkshaya yoginaam…bandhaya cha mudhanaam….etc " means those who awaken kundalini and take it up, get Moksha and those who do not , are dragged into circles of life and death again and again " Roscicruicion society also believes that Kundalini is a secret power in us and is situated near heart. Siva Samhita explains " treya loke yaani bhootani taani sarvana dehata…etc means the body of man is a small reflection of the univeerse and all the powers which are operative in the universe are working the human body too. Jyotish Sastra also accept that all the sun-sign in the universe are situated in human body too (thus equating our body with universe). some also think that Kundalini is not a real sleeping power but when by Pranayama we mate the Apana prana with Samana prana a great light and force is achieved, which is called kundalini. Based on different explanations we can come to a general acceptable idea about kundalini. So far we find that Kundalini is a sleeping power in us, which when awakens removes the ignorance and gives us siddhis and finally Moksha. This Kundalini if not awakened takes us from one life to the other. Kundalini is the main cause of our Ignorance (Avidya) and it can be made cause of our Gyan and Moksha. Guest guest
Namaste, In some texts it is written that the path traversed by the Kundalini ends in the Sahasrara where the sadhak attains liberation.Other texts say (Ramana Maharishi has said this too) that the path followed by kundalini is an arc.It reaches the Sahasrara but the sadhak does not attain liberation there. The Kundalini then moves downwards through a nadi(called Brahmanadi but I am not sure)to the heart centre. All the pravittis, sanskars are burnt and the sadhak attains liberation. The anahad sound also relates to the progress of the Kundalini in its various stages. I would be very grateful to recieve clarification and knowledge on this subject from the esteemed members of this group. Here the difference of opinion is due to different views on Liberation. For some, Moksha is just getting out of cycle of physical birth.. for some it is liberation from births/deaths at any plane...and for some the liberation is dissolving in supreme for ever. As per Tantra philosophy, the real liberation or Moksha is not just getting out of universe/s but going into the supreme and then coming back to ego with full wisdom/powers of supreme. Shri Krishna is best example of this coming back. so really when Kundalini starts its journey upwards... each chakra gives its miraculous powers to us. when kundalini reaches Heart chakra...we start hearing Anhdad naad. In fact the freedom starts when kundalini reaches heart chakra.... and ego becomes ego of god when it reaches Agya chakara. From Agya to sahasrdhara is a very long and the most difficult procedure... and coming back is even almost impossible...Only some great souls with Shakti's grace can do it...as Shiva does not help here...as we ourselves become shiva. I will separately write on this difficult path, of which i have read only not experienced.. Aum
Guest guest
ji, when a mind centre becomes thoughtless, means no activity going on there, the pranic force of kundlini starts rising from below muladhara and gets concentrated there at adnya chakra, the adnya chakra is the centre, where the signals from brain are forwrded to below physical body. When the focus on adnya chakra becomes more and more dence, even a small fraction of thought is not required, otherwise it diverts the focus into some other side. The undiverted focus thus starts pulling the awareness starting from Muladhara to upwards till vishudhdhi chakra and gets collected at adnya chakra. The scattered awareness in the body starts accumulating and starts travelling alongwith Kundlini when kundlini enters into the sushumna nerve, its cavity in between Ida and pingala in spinal cords, due to syphoning effect, the awareness thus starts going up and the person who is meditating starts entering into meditation. The meditation goes deep and deep due to regular practise, lavitates all the awareness in the human body below eye level. The accumulated awareness (Kundlini) thus becomes a focused energy and is able to enter into Murdhana nerve which is located in adnya chakra , where when the Kundlini enters into, gives visions , which are focused on, or which happened in the past life. This process is called as opening of adnya chakra. All the past life impressions are stored in the forhead systematically when one diverts the torch of kundlini on specific point, he gains knowldge on the same, either may it be of heaven, or may it be of hell, or may it be of any other loka, He just make a wish and the knowldge is there in from of him.But this diversion costs the power of kundlini and the person might get stuck into this, Yogis use this method for solving people problems. The kuran is an example for this, where Mohammad was not even could read or write, He heard them and the same lines are kuran now. By using this power we can enter into our past lifes as well as can search into future life, which is possible today. But chances of change in furture is always possible. The lokas are placed as said in gayatri mantra. At eye level - om Bhu: ( Bhuloka means our world, material world) After all above eye level Om Bhuva: ( Bhuvloka located at start of adnya chakra Yaksha Gandharva people) Om Swa: (swarga loka ) Gods like indra, apsara, asta dikpals etc Om Maha( Maholoka) Those great saints Om Jana ( Janoloka ) Saints etc Om Tapa ( Tapoloka ) Tapasis, sadhus, On satyam ( Brahmaloka ) The true nature of ours pure soul The lokas start from the level of material world to the finest level of satyam. Vishnuloka and shivloka etc comes near Jana (Vaikuntha loka )as well as Tapaloka (shivloka) When the same collective awareness in the body travels beyond mind (adnya chakra) through murdhana nerve, without getting disturbed or diverted due to the chitta sanskaras, by the grace of master, it enters into intellect area. i. e above forehead. above which the inspiration of pure ego is observed.. The state of collectve awareness above intellect area is called as turiya, and it gives the sadhak treamendoue pleasure ( here the vision of vaikuntha loka can be seen) and when the all awareness in the body is focused in this area the person remains only a pure ego, and is altime blissed.Yet he has to realise the super consiousness. The travel towards sahasrara continues and all the collective awareness reaches at sahasrara. When the centre of sahasrara chakra is viewd by the torch of kundlini, when entered into murdhana nerve, it is very very tiny hole, when all the awareness alongwith pure ego enters into the tiniest center of sahasrara chakra with the help of upward dynamics developed due to kundlini, the pure ego starts melting into universal consiousness. Because there is the neutral point of the body and if someone wants to find it from outside, the hair at the point have circled there, it is called as brahmarandhra. If the person remains in the centre of the sahasrara chakra more that four hours, in other words, if he remain is Nirvikalpa samadhi for more than four hours , the brahma randhra opens physically and the awareness(the soul, pure ego) dissolves in the universal soul and the personality gets freed from the life and birth cycle. The soul who leaves his body through brahmarandhra never come back.Good people soul leave their body through eyes open. Other people soul leave there body through nose, mouth, ear, sex organs, and anus. The worst rebirths for them who leave their body through sex organs and anus. Those who return after entering but before passing into sahasrara chakra centre, they come back due to " karuna " sympathy to the other people, who have not understood what the true bliss is,They come back to distribute the knowledge they have gained so that more and more people can have the bliss and experince the truth. These people know once they enter into the sahasrara centre, they will never be available again. Unless the heart is powerfull enough to handle the pleasure caused by the turiya state, one can not progress further, because is is very difficult to handle the bliss. Hence when the emotions starts growing up and can not be handled due to bliss in turiya status entry , the force gets diverted towards down to heart, which is center of emotions.. Ones the sadhak gets saturated with the experince, further progress of liberation is possible for him. The sadhak should be free from every material bond, unless which liberation is not possble. At that super sensitive level of above turiya ,of sadhak, very very suble bonds tie him heavily.Getting out of them is not easy and without master is impossible with our type of people. The same needs number of births and saturation level of a sadhak. The strength of coping up with the sublte bonds. Anahata is very early stage. after colours starts appearing, and person becomes poetic etc, next stage is to listen internal music, which is anahata. This all is posiible in human body only, and therefore Human body is very much important for this. --- On Sat, 4/7/09, r_mukherj <r_mukherj wrote: r_mukherj <r_mukherj Re: Kundalini Shakti !!!!!!!! In Gyan Yoga as taught by Raman - there is a Nadi, which takes our conciousness from our Spiritual Heart(this is not the heart chakra, but the center of the causal body, where our Chit Shakti resides), & continously throws it out in the outer world. Ramans path was to reverse this process via meditation, to take chetna back from head to heart. But this process also reverses when the Kundalni rises. So whether one follows the conciousness back to heart, or tries to raise Kundalni, the same result occurs. Raman was against Kundalni Yoga, as he felt it was too dangerous, & similar results could be had by other methods. Aumji has written something similar. This is very confusing, because what is hard to comprehend is- the lower 6 chakras exists in astral body, while the Spirital Heart Raman was talking about is the center of causal body. In a way, it can be said the 6 chakras exist in Causal body, which itself exists as a small point near heart. So taking our conciousness to this point automatically opens lower 6 chakras. I think Raman was trying to explain Kundalni Yoga from his own path, whch is why he said the Kundalni has to return to heart. But in Kundalni Yoga(as a part of Tantra), it rises to head, then it may either mere with Param Shiva, or return to lower chakras to work in world. love, Shantnu
Guest guest
ji, As learnt from my master, There are many ways @ three ways in the body to attain liberation. One has direct connection to brahmarandhra from the sex organs, thats why sex gives momentory pleasure. This way is used by tantra methods. Another one is direct connection from heart , which saints use the path. The third one is methodical progress and upliftment of kundlini power. the path is from the spinal cord area. This way is used by yogis. Heart connection is less prone to failure while as other methods are more. One has to take a step at least, by the first step, and initial findings of suitable path, one can get settled the way of his choice for liberation. Change of mind set up takes lots of efforts hence master avoids it and teaches deceple what is suitable for him. chakras are nothing but centres where an awareness can be stuck up due to impurities. The chakra bhedan cleans the related organs of the body and adds cosmic power to them. --- On Sun, 5/7/09, shanracer <no_reply > wrote: I had same doubt for a long time.
