Brahm gyana- is the end point of various ways (yogas) of which is

Bhakti is one.

Bhakti is a way. The end point or points ( I am just parroting

without any real realization of the profoundness of these words) of

Bhakti school are many and various claims are made. Bhakti school

thinks Brahma Gnana as a lower level realization. It claims the

Bhagavan realization as the ultimate. The Saiva cults in Tamilnadu

(and Kashmir) proclaim these Bhagavan realizations to be of the

following types

1. Salokya Moksha- Attaining God's world

2. Sameebhya Moksha- Attaining his closeness (in His world)

3. Saroopa Moksha - Attaining his form

4. Sayujya Moksha- Becoming one with God

There is a story how Vyasa was dissatisfied even after compiling

Brahma Sutras. Something was telling his inner self that whatever was

his achievement, was not enough. Then the meeting with Sage Narada

happened, who advised Vyasa to write a treatise on Bhakti and thus was

born the Srimad Bhagavatam. It was at this moment that Vyasa felt his

mission fulfilled.

I am just writing off hand from memory. Maybe members can give a

specific reply .

Dear Venkatji,

Your parroting is Profound & Flawless :-D (just joking)

Just one addition to the types of Realizations, as per Bhakti Marga:

5. Sarshti Moksha - Attaining God's Wealth/Opulence (Material as well

as Spiritual....I believe)

Anupam
